Joy Duggar’s Wedding to Austin Forsyth is Happening This Weekend (Report)

“Just a few more days and I’m gonna front-hug you so hard!”

Get the tater-tot casserole ready because Counting On star Joy-Anna Duggar is reportedly getting married this weekend!

A new report is stating that the Duggar daughter will marry her fiancé Austin Forsyth this Saturday in Arkansas, which comes as a surprise, due to it being reported earlier that the couple would be getting hitched in October.

The inside information comes from the “Life is Not All Pickles and Hairspray” Facebook page, which has a proven track record of having the correct info on all things Duggar-related.

“I heard from a Duggar insider that Joy’s wedding will be next week,” the page posted on Sunday. “I’m guessing that means, Saturday May 20th.”

The page later updated with, “It’s been confirmed. The wedding is this Saturday.”

The page also had information about where the wedding will take place.

“It seems like the wedding will be held close to the Duggar compound since the source said guests will be at the compound before and after the wedding,” the post reads. “That’s all I know right now except I hope Joy gets up the nerve to run before then and live the life God gave her not the one arranged for her by her fruitcake dad.”

Speculation that the wedding was taking place very soon started when the Duggars were photographed at Renee’s Bridal in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, earlier this month. Then, the network uploaded a video clip from the couple’s joint bachelor/bachelorette party last week. Fans were quick to point out that couples rarely celebrate their bachelor/bachelorette parties five months before their wedding day.

Joy’s sister, Jill Dillard (who has been doing mission work in Central America with her family) is returning to the United States for the wedding. Jill is currently pregnant with her second child and due to give birth in July. She had previously stated that she plans to return to the U.S. to give birth, so the timing lines up perfectly so that Jill and Derick can just stay in Arkansas until Jill has the baby.

Joy and Austin started their courtship on the set of ‘Counting On’ and announced their engagement in March. In interviews, Austin has called Joy the “woman of his dreams.”

“I think I’m most looking forward to the fact that it will be day number one of spending the rest of my life with this beautiful young lady,” he said in the bachelor/bachelorette video clip.

Joy and Austin seemed to be trying to throw fans off on their wedding date when they posted their wedding registry on Amazon using an October date. They did, however, state in the comment section that, while they used an October date, their actual wedding date had not been announced yet. However, the fact that so many of their registry gifts have already been purchased is very telling, as guests usually do not start buying gifts for weddings they are attending five months from now.

If 19-year-old Joy does, indeed, get married on Saturday, she will become the youngest Duggar bride to date (other than her mother, Michelle, of course, who got hitched at 17.) Her sister Jessa Seewald was 21 at the time of her wedding, while Jinger Vuolo was 22. Jill was 23 when she married Derick Dillard.

  1. The one thing I like about this, is that HE is giving HER that dazed and in love look instead of the other way ’round.

  2. Was there any truth to the rumor of a pregnancy scare a few months ago? If so, it makes you wonder if a quick date adjustment will be followed by a pregnancy announcement two weeks later. Lol

    1. HAHA no, I don’t think so, her parents would have disowned her. But I bet they will still have an announcement soon.

    2. The “pregnancy scare” was with Joseph and Kendra and it was just an April Fools joke.

  3. Ew. It’s so sad that she’s literally still a baby and already getting married.

And seriously how long have they been “courting”? Relationships take years to develop into marriage material, and people need time to mature before they make such a giant commitment. It’s so sad how these girls are so desperate to leave their freak parents that they literally marry the first guy who comes knocking.

    1. I completely agree with what you are saying about marrying the first guy that comes along. That’s is exactly what they do. I don’t really understand their courting ways. If I’m understanding correctly, they are not allowed to date and to see if someone is relationship material, but they are allowed to court with supervision. The strange thing is “courting” seems to mean engaged to be engaged and courting seems to happen so fast. I have no life so I read Josh and Anna’s story (before the scandals) on their website and it seems as if they only interacted 4 or 5 times before entering a courtship. Then the courtship was so short before they were actually married. I don’t get why the kids can’t date around (even supervised) before entering a courtship.

      1. Bates do that now tho. Maybe even unsupervised? Tori dated for about a year before entering a courtship and Carlin has a “special friend” she calls her boyfriend actually. Others did that too before getting married if I recall correctly so at least this family is taking its time.

    2. ITA. And to think all she has to look forward to is babies upon babies is just sad.

I mean, if a woman has the choice, it’s fine. But these fundie females DON’T have a choice, at least if their name is Duggar.

Boob has to stamp every damn thing with his approval, or it doesn’t happen. That is seriously some bullshit.

    3. My son and she are the same age. I can’t imagine my immature honor roll college student son marring anyone. He is still so young and inexperienced.

This girl has even less life experience than my own child. I feel soooo sorry for her.

  4. They are probably rushing the wedding so that they have something to film for this upcoming season because other than squeezing blessings out they have nothing else interesting going on in their lives. At least not enough for a show. Jim Bob controls everything and I’m sure this was dictated by him as well although they will make it seem as though it was joy Anna’s and Austins decision.

  5. Jesus. I got married at 19. 2 kids by 23. Divorced at 25. Would not recommend getting married to anyone that young. Woke up one day and realized I didn’t even know who I was. Can’t imagine how this will turn out.

  6. I actually really like this guy for her! He seems like the total package. The kind of guy who can build or make anything. He’s a good catch in my book! Downvote me if you must ? Way better than that cheesy annoying Jeremy Vuolo!

    1. Pretty sad when it’s all downhill from 19…..I really wish she would have waited, at least gone out and experienced some life as an individual.

    2. I do like Jeremy, but I have to upvote on that. I like Austin, too. He seems very grounded and I like that for Joy. 🙂

      1. He comes from an equally conservative (or even more) family than her and will prob make her only act as a housewife despite her always being a tomboy. As a tomboy in my youth myself that makes me sad for her.

  7. Ofc they won’t wait until October. She’ll prob be knocked up by then already. Maybe even beat her already married sister Jinger by having a baby before her! (I think because Jeremy knows a lot more about human anatomy than others, he is using natural family planing).

  8. When are Joseph and Kendra getting engaged/married? You don’t hear any mention of this couple. Did she wise up and run?

  9. Now just to be fair, if they are going to be stuck in a life like this, the husbands might potentially give them more privileges than their dad does. Just look at Jinger finally allowed to wear pants. Maybe Joy knows that Austin will do the same so that’s almost like freedom?

    1. True dat because who the fuck wants to camp in a skirt!!! She might even have sex in the great outdoors!

  10. Wondering what woodsy creation the wedding planner has them creating this time for the stage?
