Courtney Stodden Begs Estranged Husband Doug Hutchison to Come Back to Her

“Come back to me, Doug!”

The saga of Courtney Stodden‘s relationship with Doug Hutchison continues!

The eccentric reality star hit social media on Friday night to plead with her soon-to-be ex-husband Doug to get back together with her, despite the fact that they legally separated last year.

“I need this man back in my life,” Courtney captioned a wedding photo she posted on Instagram. “I need him to come help me. I need him to want our marriage to work. He’s been my only solid rock. Doug, if you read this — this is a public cry for your undying love.”

Courtney then posted a video to her accounts that showed her tearfully begging Doug to take her back. She revealed that their divorce is about to be finalized next week and she is now having second thoughts about parting ways with Doug.

“So, obviously, I’ve been crying — again,” she said. “I just want to be honest with you guys about some things. Me and my husband have been going through a really rough time — separation, and ultimately divorce, coming up in a week. I’ve, at the last minute, realized that I don’t want it and I want to try to make things work.”

“Ever since we’ve been separated and he’s moved away, I’ve been really depressed and I’ve realized that I don’t deserve him,” she added. “I love him so much and I need him back in my life. I just need him to come help me and be with me and I love him.”

Courtney and Doug made headlines in 2011 when they got hitched, due to the fact that Courtney was only 16 and Doug was 51. They eventually starred on Couples Therapy to help their marriage, after a brief split in 2013. In 2015, Courtney and Doug appeared on The Mother/Daughter Experiment alongside Courtney’s mother, Krista Keller, and things got downright wacky when Krista revealed that she had an “emotional affair” with Doug while he was married to Courtney.

Based on her other social media postings, Courtney’s been struggling emotionally for several months. On December 30, she tweeted a message that is almost certainly about Doug.

“In the arms of that person… that one person who would never ever leave me… that’s the only medicine that would cure my sadness,” she wrote.

In an exclusive interview with The Ashley back in April 2017, Courtney explained why Doug means so much to her.

“I got married at 16, so Doug’s been around for so long,” Courtney told The Ashley. “I look at him as a figure in my life in so many regards. We’re breaking up but we still want to remain in each other’s life, if we can manage to do that after all the smoke clears.”

At the time, she expressed her desire to stay close to Doug no matter what happens in their relationship.

“We don’t want to be this nasty Hollywood couple that tears each other apart,” she said. “We want to lead as an example for other celebrity couples going through a divorce. It’s making things harder and right now the tension is high, but we’re managing to remain loving and respectful of one another.”

Doug has yet to respond publicly to Courtney’s posts.

  1. Screw Farrah being on dr Phil, this is the girl that needs to go on his show. Not for exposure but help. Personally I love dr Phil but even if you don’t he has access to wonderful treatment centers for people who are lost or in need of help.

  2. Her parents epically failed her….I really feel bad for this girl, because you can tell that she is genuinely so lost. I wish a family member other than her POS parents would reach out to her and help her… I hope that she gets the help and support that she desperately needs.

  3. Oh Courtney we are rooting for you!! Please go get the best therapy out there, go to college, find passion in life, and work on being the best version of you. I know that’s so corny, but after all she’s been through, she deserves it.

  4. This poor girl. She was groomed from childhood. They should throw her “mother” and husband in jail for child abuse and give her some serious therapy.

  5. I read all these comments and I am very pleased with The Ashley community we have going on here. Sure we are all a bunch of assholes that make fun of people… but when it comes to someone who obviously has issues and is a good person like Courtney Stodden, we support her and wish her well.

    1. Totally. We are a bunch of dicks, but when it’s down to brass tacks and no bullshit… we aren’t such a bad bunch.

  6. I feel so bad for this girl. She seems like a kind person who is so lost and it’s clear that she has no one in her life willing to help her. I really hope a miracle happens and someone steps in.

  7. I watched the mother daughter experiment, her mother, omg her mother. It’s so easy to see what happened to Courtney. Take note teen mom’s, look what becomes of your kid when you’re a screwed up, misguided, in need of therapy yourself, parent.

  8. I’ve said it before, and I’m sure it’s not a popular opinion, but I really feel like she is such a sweet and lost little girl. I feel so awful that her mom primed her to be in these emotionally fucked up situations and her with no understanding of how to deal with them.

    1. I used to be one of those people who put her down and laughed at her like a joke, but it’s so painfully obvious that her mother completely failed her. You’re right, she’s a lost little girl. She never matured past the age of 16 when her mother pimped her out for fame and on top of that, everything she’s been through has caused some emotional issues that have never been dealt with. She needs someone in her life to help her see she needs to step out of the little spotlight she has left shining on her and seek serious and intense therapy.

  9. This girl breaks my heart. She has been used and abused by all the adults in her life who were meant to protect her and now she has no idea how to live a normal life. She clearly is having a breakdown and it’s like none of the people who are meant to be helping her are. It’s a very sad thing to see. I hope she gets the help she needs soon.

  10. My heart breaks for her. She had absolutely no chance with her parents marrying her off to a pedophile as a child. Her mom then turns around and tries to get with the same pedo. She desperately needs help, and to find self love. No one in her present life is capable of such an unconditional emotion.

    1. While I agree with all your sentiments Mae, it’s not right or accurate to call Doug a pedo. Sixteen is not a pre-pubescent child, and even at that age, Courtney has always looked about twice her years.
Honestly, her whoremonger mother is the one who has the most to answer for.

      1. But mentally she wasn’t equipped for what happened to her. She was a teenager so he most certainly is a pedophile and also an abuser who chose her as a victim because she was vulnerable. Her mother is a piece of work as well.

  11. She’s the epitome of “daddy issues.” Her parents have failed her horribly and she’s been so exploited she has no frame of reference for a normal, healthy relationship. I sincerely hope she gets the therapy she needs and can eventually be surrounded by kind and loving people who can help her gain the self confidence she needs.

  12. I mean, on one hand I get her. I still think about my ex all the time, last year when he called me I thought he wants to get back together (but he didn’t). But on the other, there was a REASON we broke up, it was not perfect so I know what I feel is only emotional attachment to something that was and want back which is a normal process when you were used to it for years. That doesn’t mean you need to jump in another relationship or back in the old one if that wasn’t good for you. Everything happens for a reason and I still don’t regret leaving him, I hope she will realize that soon too. Move on, Courtney, you were only a child when you met him.

  13. She just makes me sad. The adults in her life, including her parents, have failed her horribly. I hope she gets the help she needs.

  14. She needs some serious help, learn to be independent and get some selfesteem. Nobody can save you from yourself. Get her some real help..off camera’s!

    1. I have always been afraid that her story would end in tragedy. Sadly, it seems that it’s becoming more and more inevitable.
