‘Bachelor’ Couple Arie Luyendyk Jr. & Lauren Burnham Announce Wedding Date & Location

“I’m gonna marry her before she changes her mind!”

Arie Luyendyk Jr. may have initially chosen the “wrong” girl during his season of The Bachelor, but now that he’s paired with the “right” one, he’s determined to make it down the aisle with her!

The former ‘Bachelor’ star, who famously proposed to Becca Kufrin only to change his mind months later and go with his runner-up, Lauren Burnham, has announced that he and Lauren plan to get married January 12, 2019 in Maui, Hawaii.

Arie and Lauren made their announcement on The View but in a press release sent out on Wednesday, it’s stated that the couple will get hitched at Maui’s Historic Haiku Mill, a “stunning, two-acre luxury event venue located on Maui’s north shore.”

“It’s in Maui, it’s at Haiku Mill, which is this beautiful, old world feel, with a lot of vines and greenery,” Arie said on ‘The View.’ “It’s not your typical, beach wedding. It’s so pretty.”

The couple also announced that, unlike other ‘Bachelor’ franchise weddings, theirs will not be televised.

“[It will] not [be] on TV,” Arie said on ‘The View.’ “Just, you know, a close group of friends. Probably 100 guests.”

As for Arie’s former fiance, Becca, she’s obviously moved on. (She is the current Bachelorette and has recently revealed that she is engaged to someone she met on her season.)

In fact, she’s so far removed from the devastation she felt when Arie dumped her five months ago in order to date Lauren that she’s even willing to attend their wedding, if she gets an invitation.

“I don’t know if they’d invite me,” Becca told journalists on a press conference call this week. “But, yeah, if they would want me there, I would want to share in their love because I truly do wish them nothing but happiness.”

Arie said on ‘The View’ that, despite the public backlash he received when he dumped Becca for Lauren, he doesn’t regret what he did.

“At the end of the day, it’s a TV show, but this is the rest of our lives,” he said. “I knew that Lauren was the person I was supposed to be with.”

Lauren and Arie got engaged during the “After the Final Rose” taping in March. During their appearance on ‘The View,’ the couple was asked if they feel they are rushing things in their relationship.

“[If we could] get married tomorrow we would,” Lauren said. “We’re just really happy with each other and we vibe well together. We’re best friends, so we’re just ready for that next step.”

Lauren revealed that, after becoming engaged to Arie, she moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, and they are living in a condo together.

“We just bought a new house,” she added. “Things are moving pretty quickly and things have just been great so far.”

Should Arie and Lauren actually make it down the aisle, they will be only the third ‘Bachelor’ couple to actually get married. (Sean Lowe and his pick Catherine Giudici wed in 2014, while Jason Mesnick married his runner-up, Molly Malaney in 2010. To date, though, Sean is the only ‘Bachelor’ who has married his original pick.)

  1. It’s horrible that they made their announcement right before that bachelorette was to premiere.. Didn’t he put Becca enough already?? She couldn’t have her moment? You have to try the scoop her Premier too?? Dick head.

  2. She’s making a mistake marrying this flip flopper….if he did that to the Becca on National TV I can’t imagine what he would do behind closed doors in a divorce.
