Brody Jenner Has Finally Signed On To Star in ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’

“OK, fine, I’ll do it!”

After a lot of negotiating, MTV has finally secured Brody Jenner for its upcoming spin-off, The Hills: New Beginnings!

Brody confirmed the news with a post to his Instagram on Friday.

“Don’t call it a comeback,” Brody captioned a photo of his mug on a billboard advertising the show.

Both Brody and his new wife, Kaitlynn Carter, will appear on the show.

Brody was one of the last hold-outs from the original show to sign on for the spin-off. The revival of show was announced at the MTV Music Awards in August. Some of the original cast walked the red carpet to announce the news, but Brody was not among them.

According to Page Six, Brody was reluctant to agree to appear on ‘New Beginnings’ because he has “a very private life” and wasn’t sure how much of that “private life” he wanted to share with TV viewers.

“He hasn’t really been out there. He wanted to make a deal that works for him after deciding what he wanted to have on TV,” an insider for Page Six stated.

The insider told Page Six that drama with his dad, Caitlyn Jenner, could have also played a role in his decision-making.

“He wasn’t sure if he wanted to be in the public eye on the heels of his dad’s transition,” the insider added. “Caitlyn wasn’t there for him growing up and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to talk about it again. Family is important to him. He’s very much a mama’s boy.”

(Caitlyn “wasn’t there” for Brody back in June when Brody married Kaitlynn, either. She did attend her son’s wedding.)

Brody will be joined by Heidi and Spencer Pratt, Stephanie Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Jason Wahler, Justin Delgado and Whitney Port on ‘New Beginnings.’

The original show’s main star Lauren Conrad will not be appearing on the spin-off. Lauren’s nemesis Kristin Cavallari is also unable to do the show, due to her contract with E! regarding her reality show Very Cavallari.

Lauren’s BFF Lo Bosworth has made it clear that she has no intention of being part of anything ‘Hills’-related.

Earlier this year, Lo said on her podcast that she has no interest in being around her former co-stars.

“I was like ‘F**k no!’ I don’t want any association with those people,” she said regarding being asked to return to the show.

MTV has yet to announce a premiere date for ‘The Hills: New Beginnings.’

  1. Not looking forward to this reboot at all. Every person on the reboot was part of the supporting cast, and couldn’t hold reality shows of their own for more than 1 season…and I don’t like Brody.

  2. Caitlyn WAS NOT at Bordy’s wedding you wrote she was. Brody is a loser that has no real job other than being on cheesy reality shows. It’s sad with him, hes nice looking, had a silver spoon in his mouth at birth, yet did nothing with his life.
