Also the workforce is very challenging for someone on the Spectrum, and using unkind words like “asshole” is very demeaning and hurtful and it shows me that many people are judgmental and ununderstanding and that makes the workforce even harder and demoralizing for people on the Spectrum.
I know it is not easy to understand Johnathan’s point of view, but it is important to support the work he has put in to understand he thoughts and emotions on how his brain works. It is important to not be demeaning and say that he is faking his diagnosis. As hard as it might be to understand his behavior it is even harder for him.
He doesn’t have an actual diagnosis, but ran to their social media as soon as the season started to air because he had to save face. They “spoke to a friend” who happens to have some medical training, and “oh, yep, you must be on the spectrum because you do A, B and C and some people on the spectrum do those things”. He doesn’t have an actual diagnosis from a professional in the field, nor has he sought out any help. It’s a whole lot of lip service though, so that people like you will pat his head and there there poor lil fella him. It’s not real, lol. It’s literally something they only recently did because the reality of the impact his actions (also inactions) and words have on the general public is hitting him like the freight train he deserves-and he can’t stop it. There is no “work” being done there.
Now that they are on the show, they can’t control the narrative everywhere anymore like they have on their sm for years. So…quick, come up with an excuse for being a shitty person….I know… ASD. As if people who do have ASD don’t struggle enough with all sorts of issues.
(ftr, my brother and his wife live near them. She’s worked with him in software development. Jonathan is just an asshole even off the race and a lot of people in Pomona think so, lol)
Wrong, he does have an actual diagnosis and to claim or say otherwise is very rude and demeaning to the whole Autism community.
He absolutely does not, as I said, I know someone who works with him, lol.
So, unless you are him or Ana (and we all know you aren’t either, loL), you’re just trying to white knight for him, and not at all being supportive of people within the ASD community. No one in the ASD community needs people white knighting for those trying to gaslight others into believing they have a diagnosis they don’t actually have. In fact, it’s hurtful and harmful to the entire community to do that. It’s difficult enough to get awareness and understanding out there for people in the community, from those living outside of it. People like Jonathan who make shit up to save face, don’t do people any favors.
