Anna Johnston has a new beau— and, after the “7 Little Johnsons” stars made their relationship “social media official” by announcing him on TikTok, fans began to dig deeper into her new boyfriend’s history— including his current marital status and recent run-in with the law!
Anna posted a TikTok earlier this week introducing fans to her man, Jeffrey Meservey. She captioned the photo, “One day you will have a crush on the guy that tried to save your hair from catching on fire,” adding that Jeffrey is her “forever crush.”
Not much is known about Jeffrey, but his TikTok page exhibits a loving tribute to his son. There has been speculation among the fans about Jeffrey’s relationship status, as some pointed out in the comments on Anna’s posts that he could still be married.
According to public court records obtained by The Ashley, Jeffrey has been separated from his soon-to-be-ex-wife since August and their divorce case is still pending. They had been married since 2012.
Some avid fans have also found Jeffrey’s mugshot from an arrest in October for theft by conversion in Houston County, Georgia.
Although this is Anna’s first public announcement of her new relationship, Jeffrey’s TikTok page boasts three different videos of the happy couple. The first post on his page is a video of the two from this July with the audio saying, “The thing next to you is a pain in the ass.”
Similarly, he posted a video two weeks ago with the audio saying, “I have 99 problems, but when I’m with you, I have 100,” showing him and Anna at a sports bar.

On the same day Anna posted her tribute to him, Jeffrey posted a matching photo with the caption, “One day, you will have a crush on the girl that you tried to save her hair from catching on fire,” also adding a blue heart emoji.
This is the first look fans have had into Anna’s love life since the new season of “7 Little Johnstons” premiered in October. Early in the season, Anna had mentioned her boyfriend, Darius, to her grandmother; however, he was never featured on the show.
Fans have expressed mixed opinions on Anna’s new relationship, with some expressing support for the new love in Anna’s life, especially in the wake of all her family drama (which The Ashley has reported on at length), while others express concerns about the noticeable age difference between the two.
“Yaaaaas, the one Johnston who deserves the world,” one person wrote in the comment section of Anna’s post.
“I hope you find true happiness after all you went through with the Johnstons,” another person wrote.
Others have been quick to advise Anna to be cautious when entering this new relationship, especially considering the age gap between the two. (According to court records obtained by The Ashley, Jeffrey is 44 years old. Anna is currently 25 years old.)
“He looks sooo much older than you,” one person wrote, to which someone else commented, “he could be your dad.”
“Did he not get arrested? Support you,” another wrote. “Just be careful.”
The rest of the Johnston family have yet to comment on Anna’s new life update.

The age difference is concerning. I wonder if the theft by conversion charge has something to do with his divorce? If so, which is pure conjecture on my part based on timing and type of charge, I bet that is an ugly divorce.
