Earlier this month it was announced that Bella Vaughn— a girl who got pregnant at the age of 14 by her 12-year-old boyfriend Hunter— would be appearing on the upcoming seventh season of Unexpected. Since then the controversial teen mom has been the subject of much online speculation and rumors.
In a video posted to TikTok earlier this week, Bella (who just turned 16) addressed many of the rumors and statements being made about her and Hunter, including whether or not she faced legal consequences for having sex with a 12-year-old.
“I definitely think it is overdue for me to make this video,” Bella began. “Y’all have really hit the mark with me. I know they say that when you’re on TV, you can’t let things get to you but you guys are way overdoing it.”
Bella seemed to be addressing several TikTok creators who have been reporting about her very controversial pregnancy. (As The Ashley previously reported, Bella became pregnant at the age of 14 by her boyfriend Hunter, who was only 12 at the time Bella conceived their son Wes.)
“There’s so much more that people have put out there that is a lie,” she said.
Bella went on to address plenty of things that have been said about her and her family, her pre-teen baby daddy and her pregnancy.
“Hunter is a father! Just because he was 12 [when he got me pregnant], he turned 13 a few days later!” Bella said. “I understand it doesn’t make it any better. I understand. He was sexually ready faster than I was, and that’s OK. But I was ready when we had sex.”
Bella addressed fans who have stated that they think Bella should be arrested for having sex with Hunter.
“You can all stop saying it was illegal and that I raped him, because I didn’t,” she said. “It was both consensual on both sides. People have already said that. We have already talked to the cops about it. It was consensual.”

She also denied fans’ claims that she “ruined” her baby daddy Hunter’s life.
“When I found out I was pregnant, I gave Hunter the option. I said, ‘If you can’t do this or you don’t want to be here, that is fine, I understand. I can do this on my own or with you. It’s your decision. Whatever you choose I’m fine with.’ He chose to stay with me. He chose to take care of our baby. Y’all can all stop saying that now.”
Bella went on to insist that she’s a great mother, despite being only 15.

“Just because I am a teen that does not make me any less of a mother,” she said. “I am a mother. I did have that baby. I did grow that baby for nine, almost 10 months.”
She also defended her parents during the TikTok rant, insisting her mom and dad did what they could to prevent her from getting pregnant.
“My parents are great parents,” she said. “They have done everything for me. They support, they take care of me, they help me take care of my kid because I am a teen. I can’t do every single thing right now but they support me in every single way.”
She also disputed that it was her parents’ fault that she got pregnant at 14.
“I knew right from wrong,” she said. “I knew I was doing wrong. It’s not a parenting issue when a teen gets pregnant always…”

Since the cast of ‘Unexpected’ Season 7 was announced earlier this month, Bella and her mom, Falen have been very active on social media, causing many fans to accuse Falen of exploiting her daughter’s teen pregnancy. (As The Ashley told you, Bella’s older sister is also a teen mom and was pregnant at the same time as Bella.)
Bella disputed claims that her mother used her daughters’ teen pregnancy to gain a social media following.
“My mom did not build her platform off of me being pregnant,” she said. “She had a TikTok before that…I was six months pregnant when we started posting. And I only did it because I had people messaging me on TikTok saying, ‘I’m in the same situation as you, I don’t know what to do. I really need some help. Can you post your story? It’s really similar to mine and I don’t know what to do.’… girls started reaching out and that is the only reason we started posting.

“I did not expect to make money off of it. I did not expect people to support me as much as they did.”
Bella admitted that her sister, Emi, was trying to get pregnant (as some of the TikTok creators have claimed). She denied, however, that she was also trying to get knocked up.
“Mine was completely unexpected!” Bella said of her pregnancy. “Hence the show we’re on… I was using protection. It did break.”

Bella insisted that her mother did not know that she was having sex, despite them having a very open relationship.
“She did not know when I decided to start having sex,” she said. “She did provide me with protection way before Hunter and I were together because she knew at some point it would happen but she did not think that I was going to use it that early… she did take care of me. I just messed up… I actually had every single thing I needed to not [end up pregnant].”
Bella admitted that she turned down the offer to get on birth control, though.
“I said no because my mom got cervical cancer from it and I did not want the same thing to happen to me,” she said.
Bella also denied that her being on ‘Unexpected’ is glorifying teen pregnancy.
“If you watch ‘Unexpected,’ they show how hard it is,” she said. “They show how much fights you get in, and how annoying it is, and how inconveinent [teen parenthood] is. That is what ‘Unexpected’ is about. It’s not about glorifying it. I’m not recommending teen pregnancy to anybody.

Why would she face legal problems? Americans are so age fixated. They are two years apart and both little kids. Something is not right in that family, though…..
How old is her sister?
I find it unlikely that birth control caused her mom to get cancer. It was most likely hpv. I have a feeling there’s not much accurate information or education happening around them.
Saying they both consented does bring up an interesting question. Kids can’t consent to adults but can they consent to each other?
When one is much older, it is presumed it is more likely they pushed the other person in my country. But we don’t make 18 year olds registered sex offenders because they had sex with their 17 year old partner of years.
I was 16 when I started a relationship with a 4,5 years older guy. I was almost 18 when I was ready to go all the way (I was assaulted/ raped by an actual pedophile at 13) and he waited, never pushed me, never whined. That’s we are taught here too: consent.
Yet on Reddit, Americans keep trying to turn me into a victim and basically say Im too stupid realise I was groomed and raped and that my parents were responsible too.
My eldest is 16 and I would have no issues with them dating a nice 18 yo but consent, consent and protection.
Keep in mind that Reddit is essentially a virtual open-air insane asylum.
