A woman featured on the new season of My Strange Addiction has come forward to confess that she lied about having a strange habit in order to get herself more dates.
As you do….
Cassy— who was featured on the most-recent episode of the TLC reality show— posted (and has since deleted) a video in which she admitted her “vabbing” addiction was a farce. (In case you were lucky enough to miss the episode, Cassy claimed she used the secretions from her, um, “lady garden” as perfume, dabbing the juices on her neck and wrists as much as 50 times a day in hopes of attracting a man.)
“I’m always sticking my hands in my vagina so I wash my hands a lot,” Cassy claimed during her episode, which aired on January 21. “…If I got a boyfriend, it would be really amazing but I wouldn’t stop ‘vabbing’; I would just do it in secret, because I would think that’s how he became attracted to me. I would want to keep on doing what would make the person stay.”
In a video posted to her YouTube channel (which was watched and summarized by TMZ before it was taken down), Cassie claimed that she had been applying for dating shows but was never cast. She heard about “vabbing” and decided to pretend to be addicted to doing it to get her mug on TV and, hopefully, attract more men.
“At that time, I was really desperate to find a boyfriend,” Cassie said in the now-deleted video. “And I thought, if I expose myself, if I put myself on TV, that will increase my chances of finding a relationship.”
Although Cassy admitted that her “vabbing” addiction was made up, she insisted in her YouTube video that she was having problems with alcohol.
“I was drinking a lot. I was eating a lot of processed food and I was just genuinely unhappy and lonely,” she said.

Cassy said that she has seen a big uptick in the number of dates she’s been going on recently.
“Since the episode aired, I’ve been going on breakfast, lunch, dinner dates. Hopefully I can find ‘the one,'” she said, adding that she’s receiving “thousands of messages” on the dating apps she’s currently on.
Interestingly, before Cassy’s appearance on ‘My Strange Addiction,’ she was featured in videos posted by Special Books by Special Kids in 2023 in which she was introduced as “an autistic sociopath who struggles to feel emotions.”
In her new video, Cassy revealed she has alexithymia, also known as emotional blindness. (According to Psychology Today, those with alexithymia have “difficulty experiencing, identifying, understanding, and expressing their emotions… [This] affects the way they respond to other people’s emotions, with relationships suffering as a result.”)
Anyway, Cassy has taken down her video in which she admitted she lied to get on the show. The Ashley suspects that she took it down because posting it likely violated her contract with TLC.

‘we should all know less about each other’
also, no one in their right mind thinks embarrassing themselves on a low-rent TLC show will get them ‘more dates’ ~ at least not quality dates.
