Kail Lowry made a surprising apology Monday morning to the baby mama of her current live-in lover Isaac “Ike” Knighton, with the former Teen Mom star admitting she was out of line when she spoke about the baby mama during a recent interview she did with Ike for her Patreon account.
Kail— who looked like she would rather go through labor and delivery seven more times than make the apology— told Ike’s baby mama, Jess, that she was wrong for publicly stating that Ike is being “robbed” of parenting their daughter, among other things. Over the weekend, women from Ike’s past came forward to tell what they say is the true story about Ike’s lack of parenting, which may have been what prompted Kail to admit she put her foot in her mouth.
“I’m gonna apologize to Jess, because I don’t need to speak on anything that Isaac goes through and I don’t need to speak on what y’all have going on,” Kail said in a video posted to Instagram Stories. “I don’t need to involve myself in any intricacies of y’alls dynamic.”
Kail— who, as ‘Teen Mom’ fans know has seven kids by four dads— admitted that she wasn’t around to witness the situation between Ike and his baby mama, so she shouldn’t have spoken about it.
“At the end of the day, I’m going to stay in my lane when it comes to [Ike’s] parenting,” Kail said. “I know my kids, I know my situation. I wouldn’t want someone to speak on [my situation] that wasn’t around [it]. So, my lips are sealed and I don’t need to speak on things that do not pertain to me.
“However, other people getting upset that are not related to Jess in any way, I don’t give a f**k about your feelings,” Kail added.
As The Ashley previously reported, Kail and Ike did a three-part interview for Kail’s Patreon in which they admitted that Ike moved in with Kail and her kids very shortly after Kail’s ex-fiancé Elijah Scott moved out. During Part 3 of the interview, Kail and Ike discussed how Ike helps Kail out with her kids, while also bringing up the topic of Ike’s daughter. Kail expressed how upset she is that Ike is not allowed to be more active in his daughter’s life, insinuating that Ike’s baby mama was keeping their daughter— who is now eight years old— from him.
“I see what type of father he would be, and it makes me upset that his daughter is not getting [that],” Kail said, adding that she’d eventually like Ike’s daughter to come stay at her home. “That’s what we are building for. Your daughter should be able to be raised with the chaos even if it’s just a couple of weeks or the summertime. Because I see how much he tries.”
During the interview, Ike claimed that his baby mama recently released some screenshots of one of their conversations, and that she made public the messages that “made me look like the bad guy.”
Kail piped up and stated that she had read Ike and Jess’ text thread going back years, and that it is her opinion that Jess was keeping Ike away from their daughter for no good reason.
“He was robbed,” Kail insisted in the Patreon episode. “I don’t care what her camp has to say. I know what I saw. I know what I’ve read. I know what conversations I’ve listened to and he was robbed as a father.”
While Kail admitted that Ike “could have done more” in terms of parenting at points, she still insisted that his baby mama had no right to allegedly keep him from his daughter.
“It’s hard for me to understand where she’s coming from because there was no domestic abuse,” Kail said. “Whatever the relationship looked like. I don’t care. If there was no domestic abuse, why aren’t you including him in [parenting]?”
After word circulated about what Kail had to say about Jess and Ike’s parenting situation, several women from Ike’s past decided to publicly comment to set the record straight regarding why Ike is not involved in his daughter’s life.
The first person to publicly comment was a woman named Amanda, whom Ike dated for about 10 years. During their relationship, Ike cheated on Amanda and ended up knocking up Jess. (Ike admitted to being a cheater in the past but claims he’s now “in recovery.”)
Despite this, Amanda came forward to tell her version of events regarding Ike and his daughter. (It appears that Amanda and Jess have become friends in the years since the cheating/knocking up took place.)
Amanda wrote on Facebook that she “protected a certain person’s character” for far too long, even withholding incidents from her friends and family. She seemed to be addressing Kail directly in another message posted to Facebook.
“Y’all cannot speak poorly of people on public platforms and expect them to not speak up,” she wrote in screenshots (later posted to Reddit.) “Especially when it relates to situations and a past you weren’t involved in. I don’t care how much money you have. Go play somewhere else.”
On TikTok, Amanda made a comment stating that Ike revealed personal information about her during the Patreon interview.
“You can’t speak on people on public platforms and share information that my own family didn’t even know I went through and sit next to someone that wasn’t even there during that time and allow them to speak on it, but expect those people you’re discussing [to] be silent? I was silent for far too long and my kindness was taken for granted.”
Jess’ best friend also spoke out over the weekend, posting a video to give more details about Ike allegedly being a deadbeat dad.
“We are coming to you live from Camp Baby Mama Drama,” the woman in the video stated. “This is in regards to— I guess they call her Karl on Reddit?— and this is a ‘Teen Mom’ star… We’re here to kind of debunk some of the stuff that’s been going on and being said on this podcast that was just released. I am here as [Jess’] best friend, someone who has been in her life since Day 1, decades of friendship.
“I was there when [Ike’s] daughter was born, I was at the hospital that day and I have been in [his daughter’s] life ever since,” she continued. “And I’m here to say, he was not— in any way, shape or form— robbed of fatherhood! That allegation is crazy. He was given every opportunity to step up as a father, to the point where his baby’s mother befriended his girlfriend [Amanda] at the time– they’re still close to this day. She befriended his girlfriend at the time to give him the opportunity to be a father.
“And he chose different,” the woman stated. “He never tried to initiate plans to come see [his daughter], never called her, never Facetimed. Birthdays went by, holidays went by, nothing. Crickets, up until now. Now, he’s in this relationship with this ‘Teen Mom’ girl, and now he is interested in a relationship [with his daughter] and it’s very convenient.
“It just seems like it’s more being pressed on her part [for him to do it], and not his. He has not been interested in a relationship with his daughter until now.”
The BFF stated that Jess is being “dragged through the mud” after Kail and Ike spoke about her on Patreon and created the narrative that she is a “controlling” baby mama and “the reason he hasn’t had the opportunity to be a father.”
“It’s ridiculous and the other side of the story needs to be told,” the BFF added. “We may not have a big, huge podcast, but there’s platforms that we can use to share her side of the story.”
As The Ashley previously reported, Ike stated during his Patreon interview with Kail that he hopes to get married before having any more kids. Kail— who had her tubes tied after giving birth to her twins— said that she has considered having more children with Ike.
“I would have more,” Kail said during the Patreon interview. “It’s not a dealbreaker for me in any way, shape or form. But I think when you fall in love with someone in a real way, naturally you want to procreate with them… I would be lying if I said I didn’t think about having a child with him.”

I definitely think Chris ruined Kail. She had her issues before him, but when she divorced Javi and got with Chris it’s just been a downward spiral with men ever since.
According to his ex (whom I believe over Kail’s lame ‘pick me’ 3-part podcast), he’s seen his daughter 5 times over 8 years. 5 times!! And with all her experience ranging from active fathers to deadbeat dads, Kail believes THIS deadbeat dad’s lies? Stupid girl.
So again Kail brings a random man around her 3 toddler children, babies who can’t yet speak up if something is making them feel uncomfortable. What a crappy mother. Right up there with ‘big sister ‘ Jenelle and Smirnoff Suzie.

Remember when Jenelle was shouting from the rooftops about David not being able to see his son and how terrible that baby momma was? Even if you apologize for misspeaking, there are so many red flags that at this point you are being smacked in the face with them!
While I appreciate the friends of Ike’s baby mama coming forward and speaking out, there really is no need. I’m pretty sure everyone knows by now that Kail can’t land a quality man. That ship has sailed…off a cliff. If a man is with Kail at this point, you know with out a doubt he’s a big time loser.

It’s funny, I have so many friends who do the same thing. Defend their boyfriend and say the baby mama is keeping the kid away from them blah blah blah, but as soon as they break up- the truth comes out, they were a dead beat the whole time.

Agreed. Kailyn makes a lot of decisions that I don’t agree with, but at the end of the day I always thought she was a good mother. Maybe I was wrong and she’s just going to put any ol loser over her kids.
