A new promo clip for the upcoming seventh season of Unexpected is upping the “ick” factor.
On Thursday, TLC posted a clip from the new season in which teen-dad-to-be Hunter talks about how surprised he is that he knocked a girl up at such a young age.
“I was 12 when I found out I was going to be a dad,” Hunter says. “Now I’m 13. I did not think I would be finishing eighth grade and becoming a dad at the same time.”
His girlfriend, Bella Vaughn— who was 14 when she got knocked up by Hunter— agrees that it was surprising how things played out. She also discussed how her teen pregnancy has changed her sex life with her very young boyfriend.
(Yes, sadly you read that correctly…)
“I didn’t think at 15 years old I’d be pregnant,” she said. “I didn’t think with a 13-year-old, either!”

Bella’s mom, Falen, insists she was trying to “prevent teenage pregnancy” in her home. (She failed miserably, though, as both her daughters got pregnant as teens within months of each other. Bella gave birth to son Wes in March 2025, while her 19-year-old sister Emi welcomed her daughter two months later.)
Bella stated that she got knocked up simply because the condom broke.
“Oops,” she says, looking amused.

Bella goes on to admit that she and Hunter “could have waited a little bit longer” to start having sex. However, she insists that banging it out as pre-teens was “Hunter’s idea.”
She also claimed that, now that Hunter’s experienced the ol’ horizontal mambo, he doesn’t want to stop.
“All he wants to do is have sex!” Bella tells her mother. “Because I’m not going to get pregnant again! I’m already pregnant!”

In the comment section of the clip posted to TLC’s Facebook page, viewers expressed how surprised (and horrified) they are that the show is covering 12-year-olds having sex.
“At 12 I was literally playing wizards in the woods with a stick,” one person wrote.
“At 12 I still thought Santa was real, what’s going on?” another person commented.
“It feels icky to watch this,” someone else wrote.
Bella and Hunter (as well as Bella’s family) have already caused a lot of controversy, despite the fact that the new season doesn’t begin airing until February 16. After it was revealed that Hunter was 12 and Bella was 14 when they conceived, their families faced plenty of scrutiny, causing them to defend themselves on TikTok Live several times.
“Hunter is a father! Just because he was 12 [when he got me pregnant], he turned 13 a few days later!” Bella said in a video posted to TikTok last month. “I understand it doesn’t make it any better. I understand. He was sexually ready faster than I was, and that’s OK. But I was ready when we had sex.”

Bella also addressed fans who have stated that they think Bella should be arrested for having sex with Hunter.
“You can all stop saying it was illegal and that I raped him, because I didn’t,” she said. “It was both consensual on both sides. People have already said that. We have already talked to the cops about it. It was consensual.”
In another TikTok posted last month, Bella revealed that, while she and Hunter are each other’s “first love,” Hunter had been with other girls before her, despite being very (VERY) young at the time.
“No revenge because even though I wasn’t his FIRST love, I am his first LOVE,” she wrote.
The new season of ‘Unexpected’ premieres February 16 on TLC.

Pregnant or not, why are they able to be doing *that* all the time? This girl is giving “Nothing worse can happen, Mom!” vibes from the Jenelle days.
This is disgusting and abhorrent. TLC needs to cancel this season.
