‘Unexpected’ Star Isabella Leal-Stone’s Mom Tasha’s Criminal History Revealed; Get the Details of Her Aggravated Robbery Charge

“I’ll see your legal transgressions and raise you a teen pregnancy, mom…”

More information about the criminal history of Unexpected grandma Tasha Leal-Stone has been revealed.

On Monday’s episode of TLC’s Unexpected, Isabella Leal-Stone’s mom Tasha revealed why she was worried about meeting Isabella’s boyfriend (now fiancé) Bryce Palmer’s family ahead of their grandchild’s birth.

“I’m risking a lot because I’m on probation for theft of property and aggravated robbery,” she explained in a confessional. “So, if this meeting goes wrong and goes bad, you know, I’ve got a lot more to lose. It would suck to go back to jail for fighting Bryce’s family. I’m risking everything.”

“If only there was some way you could control who you get into physical fights with…oh, wait…”

According to Starcasm, Tasha’s charge came in 2014 when she “assisted in an armed robbery of a convenience store in [October] 2013.”

Court documents obtained by the outlet state that a convenience store employee in east Texas was confronted by a robber armed with a gun while cleaning, who demanded the employee’s belongings, including his phone and wallet.

The robber reportedly bound the employee with duct tape, “put a bag over his head, and left him in a back room of the store.” The employee then heard the robber call someone and later “heard two other people, in addition to [the robber], talking inside the store.”

“So I came in to chit-chat with a guy while he was robbing a store. Is that crime?!”

The victim “waited for about forty-five minutes until he could no longer hear anyone else in the store and then he removed the bag from his head and walked down the street, while still tied up, to his boss’ son’s house to tell him about the robbery.”

The police later apprehended the robber and their partners for the crime.

Tasha is presumed to be one of the robber’s accomplices and was arrested after an indictment for aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping.

The aggravated kidnapping indictment describes that Tasha did “intentionally or knowingly abduct [store employee] by restraining [his movements] without his consent so as to interfere substantially with his liberty, by confining him […] by using a deadly weapon, and the defendant did then and there use or exhibit a deadly weapon, to-wit firearm, during the commission of said offense.”

“Sounds like my mama!”

Her indictment for aggravated robbery claims that Tasha “while in the course of committing theft of property and with intent to obtain or maintain control of said property, intentionally or knowingly threaten or place [store employee] in fear of imminent bodily injury or death, and the defendant did then and there use or exhibit a deadly weapon, to-with firearm.”

“…and we definitely ain’t fixin’ to name our baby Tasha Jr.”

Tasha received a deferred adjudication ruling after pleading guilty to felony robbery in August 2016, which stipulated 10 years of probation, a $1,500 fine, and 400 hours of community service.

The aggravated kidnapping charge was dropped.

The main robber received a 40-year prison sentence and remains in jail as of press time.

The documents also specify that this probation sentence was to be served concurrently with a separate sentence for a different theft in another county, but that sentence has not been disclosed to the public at the time of press. Starcasm infers that the probation Tasha mentions on ‘Unexpected’ is the second unspecified sentence, as her first 10 years should’ve been completed in 2024.

New episodes of ‘Unexpected’ air Mondays on TLC.
