“90 Day Fiancé” Returns with BFFs-Turned-Fiancés, a 41-Year-Old Virgin & More: Watch the Trailer & Meet the Season 12 Cast

Me, when someone tells me to stop watching this franchise and go outside…

TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé– the series that launched what feels like no less than 350 spinoffs– is back!

Premiering next month, Season 12 of “90 Day Fiancé” will introduce viewers to seven new geographically challenged couples, who are literally going the distance in the name of reality TV fame love.

Meet the Season 12 cast below:

Catie (Portland, Oregon) & Josh (England)

Catie is a 26-year-old with OCD and a habit of making out with friends and strangers. While Catie’s free spirit keeps life interesting, it sometimes pushes her 30-year-old fiancé Josh to his limit, particularly as their wedding approaches. Before walking down the aisle, Catie reveals to Josh that she wants an open marriage– a bombshell that puts the couple’s engagement and future in jeopardy.

Marissa (Blue Bell, Pennsylvania) & Edward (Dominican Republic)

Marissa is a 45-year-old mom of two with a high-powered New York career and a socialite family with high expectations. While on a girls’ trip to Punta Cana, Marissa falls for 32-year-old Edward, a hotel concierge with an easygoing spirit.

Don’t worry, you’ll warm up to it by your third or fourth spinoff…

Once Edward arrives in the United States, he’s met with judgement from Marissa’s ex-husband and parents, and finds himself struggling to fit into Marissa’s world. In Season 12, viewers will watch as Edward and Marissa try to make their relationship work while attempting to bridge the gap between their different social classes and cultural worlds.

Mallorie (Athens, Georgia) & Raşit (Turkey)

Mallorie, 29, fell for boat captain Raşit, also 29, while vacationing with friends in Greece. While falling for Raşit was easy for Mallorie, bringing him home to her small hometown is anything but, as Raşit struggles to connect with her friends and navigate life in a new country.

“Non cut-off jeans?! Man, you didn’t have to dress up for us!”

Things become more complicated between the pair when Raşit asks Mallorie to help support his family back in Turkey. Finances continue to be a hurdle when Mallorie and Raşit finally discuss their future plans and the possibility of a prenup.

Shea (Paducah, Kentucky) & Anabelle (Phillippines)

Shea is a 54-year-old “local celebrity” known for both his career as a realtor and his rowdy lake parties. Party Boy Shea believes he’s found his match in 54-year-old Anabelle, who loves treating him to full-body scrub downs and at-home pedicures. While things are going swimmingly for the two, Shea and Anabelle’s relationship is tested when Shea’s “meddling” daughter and “troublemaking” ex-wife resurface to stir the pot by exposing Shea’s past infidelities, leaving the lovers in limbo.

Debby (New Orleans, Louisiana) & Mido (Egypt)

Debby is a 55-year-old mom and insurance agent who’s engaged to Mido, a 41-year-old virgin and Egyptian actor, who dreams of Hollywood stardom. After Mido arrives in the United States, his and Debby’s relationship is pushed to the limit and Debby begins to question whether her fiancé is ready for marriage or if he’s just looking to become a celebrity.

I don’t know Debby…probably around the time your virgin fiancé tells you he wants to be famous.

Debby’s friends and family also doubt Mido’s intentions, making the pair’s road to ‘I do’ “a true last-minute cliffhanger.”

Ashia (Alabaster, Alabama) & Maxwell (Nigeria)

Ashia is a 38-year-old “Pentecostal Prophetess-in-training,” who believes that God brought 28-year-old Maxwell into her life. When Ashia and Maxwell’s plans are derailed by K-1 visa issues, Ashia heads to Nigeria (with her mom in tow) in an effort to find a solution.

Shortly after her arrival, however, Ashia and Maxwell face their clashing families, as well as questions about their age gap and plans for the future. Additional K-1 visa issues also have the pair contemplating saying ‘I do’ in Nigeria and pursuing a spousal visa, with an ending that TLC is promising to be “one of the season’s most unpredictable love stories.”

Thomas (Long Beach, California) & Paula (Brazil)

Rounding out the Season 12 lineup is Thomas, a 31-year-old “frugal minimalist,” and Paula, a 41-year-old fun-loving entrepreneur with a booming piercing business. Despite being best-friends-turned-fiancés, Paula and Thomas begin to realize how different they actually are after Paula arrives in the United States.

I’m low-key bummed they didn’t bust out a BFF handshake…

The issues continue for the BFFs/bride and groom when Paula’s visiting family voices red flags about Thomas’s childish ways, forcing Paula to question if love can overcome her and Thomas’s differences.

The new season of “90 Day Fiancé” premieres Sunday, May 10 on TLC. Watch the Season 12 trailer below!
