Hunter Johnson‘s father, Casey, recently took steps in court to protect his son from Falen and Kris Vaughn— the parents of Hunter’s 16-year-old girlfriend Bella— and now The Ashley can exclusively reveal that Casey is also seeking to protect his grandson, Wes.
Court records filed on Wednesday by Casey— who has not appeared on Unexpected—- indicate that Casey is suing Kris for full custody of Wes, writing that “there is clear and convincing evidence that it is in the best interest of [Wes] that custody be awarded to [Casey], as parent and next friend to [Hunter].”
Hunter’s dad also asks that Bella and her family only receive visitation, and that Wes’ last name be changed to Johnson.
Casey goes on to state that Bella (who was 14 when she was impregnated by then-12-year-old Hunter) lacks the maturity, judgement and guidance to care for Wes. He states that Bella’s parents have allowed her to engage in and make social media posts that are of a “sexualized or otherwise mature nature”

“Such conduct reflects a lack of appropriate guidance and does not promote the maturity and judgement required of a custodial parent of an infant,” Hunter’s dad writes in his court filing.
He also points the finger at Bella’s parents (who have been criticized by ‘Unexpected’ fans in recent weeks for allowing Bella and Hunter to shower together, as well as having on-air conversations about anal sex, etc.)
He states that Kris and Falen’s home “lacks appropriate supervision and structure necessary for minor parents caring for an infant,” adding that the Vaughns fail to “provide adequate oversight and enforce reasonable boundaries, allowing immature decision-making, and conduct without appropriate adult intervention, thereby placing [Wes] at risk.”

Hunter’s dad seems to be pointing to things shown on ‘Unexpected’ that took place in the days after Wes’ birth (such as the shower scene). He accuses Bella’s parents of “permitting inappropriate interactions and a lack of during a critical period following [Wes’] birth.
“These conditions demonstrate a failure to prioritize stability,” he added.
Hunter’s dad goes on to state that the Vaughns are improperly restricting Hunter from spending time with his son. He claims that by only allegedly allowing him to see the baby at their home, the Vaughns are restricting any independent parenting time between Wes and Hunter.
“The environment at [Bella’s] residence reinforces peer-level decision-making, rather than the adult guidance necessary for appropriate parenting,” he states.

Casey then states that his home is “stable” and “structured” with “responsible adults” running things. He states that he is “willing and able to provide for [Wes’] needs and ensure the child’s health, safety and welfare are prioritized.”
He asks the judge to award him custody of Wes, and allow the baby to live with Hunter at his residence.
Casey asks that the court “set visitation for [Bella and her family] as it’s deemed appropriate.”
Hunter’s dad asks the judge to give him joint custody of Wes, should he not be awarded full custody.
Court records show that Falen received a court summons on Wednesday. She has 30 days to file a written response with the court.

As The Ashley previously reported, Hunter’s dad is also asking a judge to place additional boundaries for Hunter when he’s interacting with Bella and her parents. In a different court case filed on Tuesday, Casey— who currently shares temporary joint custody with Hunter’s mom Stacie— filed two separate motions in Arkansas court this week– one asking the court to enforce the existing temporary custody order and to modify it with new restrictions, and a second to amend the motion with additional requested restrictions. (A request for an expedited hearing was also included in the second motion.)
While the existing temporary custody order already prohibits sleepovers between Hunter and Bella, Casey stated in his filing this week that he “has reason to believe” that Hunter is still spending “extended periods of time” at the Vaughn’s residence and is accusing Falen and Kris of allowing these extended visits to go unsupervised. He also claims that Bella’s parents allow conduct within their home that is inappropriate for a minor child, including sexual activity and of “broadcast[ing] information on said activity on a national television show.”
Additionally, Casey noted that Bella’s parents had provided Hunter with a cellphone, on which they “actively track his location.” He also took issue with Bella’s parents allowing Hunter to participate in live social media broadcasts, during which Hunter is “allowed to discuss topics and engage in conversations that are not age appropriate.” Casey argued in his filing that this content is accessible to the public and exposes Hunter to “unnecessary scrutiny and inappropriate subject matter.”
Casey has requested that the court prohibit Kris and Falen from contacting Hunter without Casey’s supervision, and that Hunter be prohibited from being at the Vaughn’s home “for any purpose unless accompanied and directly supervised” by Casey himself. Hunter’s dad asked that the court also ban unsupervised visits between Hunter and Bella.

Additional claims by Casey made in the new filing include the fact that Hunter is allegedly missing school on the weeks that he is with his mother and that Stacie and Bella’s parents are “failing to impose appropriate boundaries and may be facilitating continued inappropriate conduct, including the risk of an additional pregnancy.”
As of press time, the normally outspoken Falen has yet to publicly address either of Casey’s court filings.
Stay tuned…

Can the dad use clips of the show as evidence? Specifically the dragged out interviews of them talking about the unsafe behaviors of the children?
I understand that these kids need more supervision and better parents but I have seen grandparents try to do what he’s trying to do and it never ends well. All my aunts and uncles pulled this on teen girls my loser male cousins got pregnant and it created more bad blood and drama than it did good. Also they never won anything except resentment and severed relationships/ties.
He needs to focus on his kid. Had he down that in the first place he wouldn’t be in this situation. And yeah I know what’s he’s said but I am not buying all of his stories. His only job is to make sure his son is prepared to be a man and father who provides.
This will only garner him likes in the court of opinion.
He is trying to get both his son and grandson out of a household that is a glorified brothel at this point.
He wants to provide his son a structured place to be able to show how HOW to raise a child.
You can’t learn to be responsible with adults acting younger than you. Bella’s parents are awful
I understand what he’s doing and why, I just think he needs to focus on his son. He get him set straight so he can go after custody of his own son. I just don’t agree with immediately filing for custody over his grandchild, that’s a big line to step over and it’s not that easy.
he didn’t have custody of him it’s why this happened.
Mmmmm I read those stories too and I take them with a big grain of salt. No one is completely powerless in that situation unless his rights were stripped. And if he’s going for custody now, which he should have done years ago if he felt hinky dinky was about, then he was never stripped of his rights. Right?!?!
Most of my family live in a specific area and yet fight on facebook airing all the dirty laundry, like they are Bravoleberties. that’s the vibe I get from these folks. And that’s not a knock on them but a lot of people live their lives out loud online and live a very different real life.
I’m glad someone is advocating for these kids!
Omg please please let this guy win custody. What the heck can a 14 and 16,year old contribute to an infants life???? I am 30 and I still second guess everything I do for my kid and need guidance! This is disturbing.
Yes!! Bout freakin time. Her parents are clearly not providing the appropriate guidance for these YOUNG kids to properly raise a kid. They encourage them to continue being sexual and have no rules. The baby would be better where it isn’t being used to make money. Period
Go Dad. At least one parent isn’t an idiot.
Good! At least there’s ONE adult in this cluster-F who actually knows that “parent” is a verb and requires action and work! Hope he gets custody of both Hunter & Wes, Hunter gets mandatory therapy to undo some of this madness, and Hunter’s mom and Bella’s family have to turn over every dime they made off of this as child support.
