‘Summer House’ Star Amanda Batula Issues Public Apology After Confirming Relationship with West Wilson; Stassi Schroeder Calls Her a “Pick-Me”

“In other words, I need to post ads and crap on Instagram so don’t call me out on it, OK?”

Following backlash from the “Summer House” fandom, Amanda Batula has broken her silence to apologize.

On Friday, Amanda took to Instagram for the first time since confirming her relationship with co-star West Wilson to post a short, vague message on her story.

“I’ve obviously been MIA,” she wrote, “but I wanted to come back on and say that I’m truly sorry to everyone I’ve disappointed and hurt, especially those I know personally who I’ve reached out to individually.”

“For the sake of my mental health, I’m going to try to start living life with some sense of normalcy,” she continued. “If you see me out or posting online, please know that this still weighs very heavily on me. I’m not ignoring what’s happening or what’s unfolded.”

She concluded her message by confirming that she will be at the ‘Summer House’ Reunion and “will be addressing any and all questions honestly and directly there.”

As The Ashley previously reported, fans of the show speculated that Amanda and West were dating for weeks before the pair announced their relationship on Instagram. The rumors started after Amanda announced that she and her co-star and then-husband, Kyle Cooke, were separating after four years of marriage, which had been documented extensively on the show.

On top of the fresh separation, West had also previously been in a relationship with another “Summer House” star, Ciara Miller, who also happens to be close friends with Amanda.

“Thanks again for that, bestie!”

Although Ciara has not commented on her ex and best friend’s new love, Kyle defended Amanda online and expressed his concerns about Amanda’s mental health following the announcement.

“I understand people have all sorts of opinions, and I’m not justifying any behavior, but from what I’m seeing, she’s kind of getting cyber-bullied … ,” he said, adding that he’s “really worried” about her.

According to Page Six, though, Amanda seems to be doing just fine. Just hours after posting her apology on Instagram, Amanda and West were seen making out while out to dinner in New York City on a double date.

“Amanda Batula and West Wilson were on a double date at Emmett’s. They made out at the table and then Amanda hid under her sweater,” the website’s source stated.

Despite his comments, Page Six exclusively shared that Kyle— along with his fellow “Summer House” castmates— were “pissed” and “disappointed” in Amanda and West. Kyle was recently seen with Amanda in New York City last Friday walking their dogs, where they were even observed hugging each other.

Although West, Kyle, and Ciara have yet to issue statements following Amanda’s apology, her former friend Stassi Schroeder had quite a bit to say on her podcast, Stassi With Tay.

She initially said that the Wes/Amanda scandal was “weird to talk about” because she and Amanda “had been friendly for years,” but also agreed that Amanda was “so wrong” to start dating West.

“I can’t defend her,” Stassi explained. “It’s indefensible and it’s disappointing, but it doesn’t define her as a human being.”

Stassi also observed that “it’s looking like she acts this way with men everywhere.”

“It’s very pick-me,” she continued, saying that Amanda “hangs onto dudes” even when they’re in relationships.

Stassi delivering a slap of truth about her pal Amanda….

“She needs male attention really badly. She needs validation and I think that is what led her to West.”

Despite disagreeing with Amanda, Stassi sympathized with her and claimed that “it does suck to see this all come down on Amanda” and not on West, who she called “a loser.” She also said that “the bigger betrayal is the friendship,” referring to the divide between Ciara and Amanda.

Amanda and West have not responded to Stassi’s comments.

“We’ll issue statements AFTER we come up for air!”

  1. Omg but i am in agreement with Stassi. My sentiments exactly. I don’t really care about the West of it all, it’s the break of trust and whatever these post antics are that give me the ick.
