So Long ‘Supernanny!’ Jo Frost Quits Her Show to Have Kids of Her Own

“Can you blame me?! I don’t wanna end up a ‘cat lady!'”

Do you enjoy the screaming tantrums of three-year-olds? Do you get a hoot out of watching overwhelmed parents debate about the best way to enforce nap-time?

Yeah, me neither.

But some people do, and they will be sad to hear that Supernanny, the show about an English nanny opening a can of whoop-ass onto American brats (and their parents), is ending after this season.

The reason?

The Supernanny, Jo Frost, wants to have children of her own.

According to this article, Jo is afraid that being on the show has turned her into a “spinster” (as your grandma would call it. Now we call them “cat ladies” I guess.) She has been doing the show since 2004 and says traveling back and forth from the UK to the US has caused her to be single, child-less and still living with her dad at age 39.

Childbearing “is not an option when you are traveling and working 46 weeks out of the year,” she told the New York Post. “Proper balance will allow me to date and have a relationship and look at my own future of having a family. It was a very conscious decision, through much reflection. But I need to create more balance in my life.”
