Mykelti Brown Says She & Some of the Other ‘Sister Wives’ Kids Have Considered Writing a Book About Their Lives

“Let’s make this happen, guys! Come on!”

Another Sister Wives book could be on the horizon.

Fans of the TLC reality show got a behind the scenes look at how Kody Brown built his family when he and his then-four wives released their 2013 “tell-all” book, Becoming Sister Wives. However, a lot has happened in the 11 years since that book’s release— three divorces, estrangements and plenty of drama–and, according to Kody’s daughter Mykelti, some of the younger Browns have tossed around the idea of writing their own book.

During a recent Live Stream on YouTube with her husband Tony Padron, Mykelti revealed that she and some of her siblings have thought about writing a book, either together or separately.

“We actually have considered writing a book,” Mykelti said, later adding that she got tired of waiting on her brothers and sisters to start the book-writing process. “I think I honestly gave up waiting to write a book [with my siblings] and that’s one of the reasons we did Patreon.”

Mykelti– who is the fifth child of 18 born to Kody– stated the book idea is still on the table, though.

“I do still think some of my siblings debate back and forth about writing a book,” Mykelti said. “As far as I know, [none of my siblings] are currently actively writing a book. But I do think several of my siblings like the idea.”

Mykelti also stated that she has considered taking on the project solo.

“I think my literacy skills are strong enough, but I definitely would hire an editor, hardcore hire an editor, and maybe even like a publicity person to help me with my word tracks, since I tend to ramble,” she said.

“Gee, I wonder where she gets that trait?”

“I currently am not writing a book, but I do think the idea of it is extremely intriguing,” she said.

Mykelti went on to reveal that, because she and Tony aren’t currently under contract for the show, she would be legally allowed to write a book. However, she stated that she is  concerned that what she would expose in the book would anger a lot of people.

“I feel like I’d get in so much trouble though if I wrote a book,” she continued. “Because if I wrote a book, I would not hold back. I feel like I hold back on Patreon… but if ‘Sister Wives’ was over, we wouldn’t be in trouble for releasing knowledge.”

“But we could burn bridges we don’t want to burn,” Tony added.

Mykelti may not be the only ‘Sister Wives’ star who is playing with the idea of writing a tell-all book. Back in December 2022, Kody first wife, Meri Brown, teased that she could be putting her story in book form when she posted a photo of herself holding a book, along with the message, “There’s so much more to the story… -Meri Brown.”

I’m gonna be really mad if that is just a recipe book telling you how to make Rice Krispies Treats.

The Instagram post’s caption cryptically hinted that a book may be coming.

“Not all is always as it seems,” it read. “Often, we accept a version of a story as truth because it fits the narrative we’ve created, or what we want to believe. It’s not always about what you’re looking at but also where you’re looking from. Everyone has their own experiences and their own truths.

“Remember, no matter how flat the pancake is, it always has two sides.”

As of press time, though, Meri has not confirmed or denied that she’s planning to spill ‘Sister Wives’ secrets in a book.

“That would be just another KNIFE in the kidneys!”

  1. Just like her mother, Mykelti just doesn’t know when to shut up. We don’t need to know any thing else about your dysfunctional train wreck of a family. Your father made a total ass of himself before the camera time and time again. The world knows polygamy does not work. Spare the rest of the Brown kids the embarrassment of producing a book “that tells the other side”. You have a half brother who has died and his siblings and mother are in terrible pain. Just shut up Mykelti and raise your 3 kids.

  2. I can only hope there are no more books by the Brown family members. Haven’t the kids had enough heart ache in their lives by having their parents put them before the public for all those years? And does Mkkelti even stop to think that anything she or her siblings may put in book form will eventually put their kids in a place they may not want to be. Kody, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn made the choice to air their private lives and that of their children. They made the choice to act out like freaks. Now one adult child is dead. You cannot tell me that all of those years did not play a part in that young man’s misery.

  3. She is so unlikeable because she’s so disingenuous. She’s a prime example of a child that grew up lacking stability and attention.
