The whole Anne Burrell death was so out of nowhere and she was so young (IMO)- I sort of suspected it may have something to do with an OD or potentially another fentanyl poisoning. Very sad.
I’m confused as to what the truth is between her and the Stepmom it’s probably somewhere in the middle.
The heart of the matter is that a child facing significant health challenges may have been without medical insurance. As a parent, I’ve always prioritized ensuring my children receive necessary care, and it’s heartbreaking to think that this child didn’t have that coverage. Even major companies like McDonald’s provide insurance, so it’s hard to understand how this situation arose. If Westin was indeed uninsured, then it’s crucial for all three of his parents, including the stepmother, to reflect on their shared responsibility. Caring for a child means embracing all aspects of their well-being, not just certain parts.
Whitney could have gotten insurance for him. It’s the least she could’ve done, considering she did nothing else for him.Also, we are assuming she’s telling the truth, which, from her history isn’t likely.
This whole thing is so sad. That kid had his mothers smile.
Step Mom can’t really be mad about the interviews because she is the one who announced his death publicly. No matter what, it was completely inappropriate for the stepmom to announce the death of a child that wasn’t hers. If she really did add watermarks to all of the pictures of the kids, I can only imagine what kind of person she is and she’s definitely petty af. One of them is lying about the custody agreement and I’m betting it’s her.
She raised him and her post was probably on Weston Sr.’s behalf as well, it was also done on her personal Facebook page. It was clearly announced for family and friends, not for a tabloid pay day. I’d watermark my photos too if some deadbeat kept stealing them and reposting to pretend she was involved. I also dont blame her for wanting to set things straight while Whitney is badmouthing them while they try to grieve. The way the internet is, I wouldn’t doubt they’ve probably been receiving hateful comments/messages from “fans” based on Whitney’s claims (several of which were immediately proven to be false).
Honestly, the Gosas were kinder than I would have been to her. Theres nothing worse than a deadbeat parent and it seems like Whitney truly was one.
Admittedly, I could be completely wrong since we haven’t seen a ton of their lives, but based on her behavior and what we have seen, she seems to fit the mold perfectly.
His stepmom raised him, she had every right to announce his death. Whitney just gave birth to him, she didn’t even pay child support. She’s a deadbeat and now wants to point fingers when she couldn’t be bothered while he was still alive.
This selfish BITCH hasn’t even spoken to her son in 6 years, now that he is dead she wants to make all this money off his death. She wasn’t a step mom, SHE WAS A MOM WHO STEPPED UP.

You don’t know that. According to Whitney, her kids were not allowed to call her directly and Weston had to sneak around and message her on Snapchat. None of us know for sure whose telling the truth and who isn’t. My point was that I have know a couple of women who became step moms and tried everything to erase the biological mother. Watermarking photos is 100% something they would do. On the other hand, someone who is respectful and loving like Kristina wouldn’t do something like that because she respects Amber as Leah’s mother even though Amber is a real deadbeat mother. Also, it’s telling that she never disputed that they had live insurance on Weston Jr but not life insurance. That is also telling.

Stepmom disputed that they didn’t give the right time but not that they didn’t have health insurance coverage for him.
If she was actually being denied access that the court ordered, she could have taken it to court and had Weston Sr held in contempt. But she didn’t. She also didn’t pay her child support.
Deadbeats ALWAYS claim that they’re being “kept away” from their kids. Sometimes they are being kept away (almost always for a good reason) and sometimes they’re allowed access but refuse to put the effort in.
Just curious, but if the genders were swapped and this was a deadbeat dad instead of a deadbeat mom, would you still feel that he deserved “respect” as the father?
Absolutely agree with you. There is no way in hell that I believe he “snuck around “ to talk to her. It’s also stupid to blab about insurance. Kids are covered through state insurance. I have a friend whose son has a genetic disorder, one with spinal bifida and another with CP and the kids all get insurance. They make good money too. The state cannot take them off of insurance either.
You do realize that Whitney was a complete deadbeat mom the entirety of both of those boys’ lives, right? It makes sense that if she was in a bad place when she was younger, she allowed their father to take full custody and nearly all parental rights back when they were little. What doesn’t make sense is her lack of care or concern ever since. She’s made several claims about how she got better, is doing better, got herself into a better place (years ago, mind you, according to her). Yet she hasn’t put ANY of that effort into being in her children’s lives. She didn’t pay her child support. She didn’t talk to or visit her kids. She didn’t check in to see how they were doing or if they needed anything. She didn’t care one iota until Weston died. Over the years Whitney has made many claims, trying to act as if she was still in the boys’ lives, but she wasn’t. She would steal pictures they put out and lie claiming she took them, or she was doing this activity or that with them-while also trying to sell those pictures. THAT is why the watermark was added, for damn good reason. Weston’s parents could have decided to not let her have pictures at all if they wanted, but they didn’t…they just didn’t want her exploiting the boys for her own gain (duh!).
She gets the grace of grieving over Weston’s death, and possibly making some bad choices in recent days because of it, of course, she gave birth to him. But that is where her grace ends. She should not be selling her story to tabloids, magazines and online rags, because it’s not her story, it’s Weston’s. She doesn’t get to play great mom now when she’s never been one before now. She’s made outlandish claims about her ex and Weston’s mom. She may be his stepmom, but she raised that boy, full stop, she’s been there, she showed up…she’s mom! Whitney is not his mom, she’s the woman who gave birth to him and his brother, but decided it wasn’t a responsibility she could handle, even once she was in a stable place. She doesn’t get to hold that trophy after his death if she didn’t want it at any point before his death.

Oh please. Amy is the one who raised those kids. She is their mom and can make the announcement Wes’s passing if she wants to.
And Whitney is complaining that she wasn’t allowed to upload pictures of the kids. So, she was allowed pictures – they just didn’t want her posting the pictures on social media as if she took them. Because that’s exactly what her type does. Pretends to be a loving, involved mom all while she doesn’t bother to call her kids or pay child support.
Kristin Cavallari really irritates me. Does she even exist outside the stratosphere of a man’s attention? I guess, like most women, a man is her nature, her purpose. I just think it’s a bit primitive.
