The newest addition to the Jersey Shore family has arrived!
On Tuesday, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola announced that she and her fiancé Justin May have welcomed their first child. The baby boy— who arrived on August 20— has been named Vincent Keith May.
“Welcome to the world my rainbow miracle baby!” Sammi wrote in the caption of a post featuring photos of baby Vincent. “After this very long journey to get here, words cannot describe how blessed and truly grateful we are. Forever living in our baby love bubble until further notice!”
‘Jersey Shore’ fans showered Sammi and Justin with congratulatory messages— while also taking note that the name chosen for the baby is the same as Sammi’s ‘Jersey Shore’ co-star, Vinny Guadagnino.

“Anyone else waiting for Vinny’s comment about the name?” one fan wrote in the comment section of Sammi’s post.
“Dare I say…Vinny 3.0?” another person asked.
(As of press time Vinny 1.0 has yet to comment, although Vinny 2.0— Angelina Pivarnik‘s man Vinny Tortorella— did offer Sammi and Justin a congratulations. )
Sammi announced her pregnancy in February, and she and Justin opened up about their infertility struggles and Sammi’s IVF journey during the most-recent season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.
“We’ve been keeping a little secret,” Sammi and Justin wrote in a joint post to Instagram in February. “Baby May Due August 2025. After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for! We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can’t wait to meet you baby!”
In the comment section of her pregnancy announcement, Sammi not only thanked fans for their well wishes, but also tried to encourage others who are going through a similar situation.
“If you’re struggling through infertility, don’t give up! Miracles do happen!” Sammi wrote.

Sammi’s baby is the 13th kid to be born to the ‘Jersey Shore’ cast. Mike and Lauren Sorrentino have three kids (Romeo, Mia and Luna), as do Snooki and her husband Jionni LaValle (Lorenzo, Giovanna and Angelo). Jenni “Jwoww” Farley has two kids (daughter Meilani and son Greyson) with her ex-husband Roger Mathews, while Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has one daughter (Ariana) with his ex Jen Harley. Deanna Cortese has two sons (CJ and Cameron) with her husband Chris Buckner. DJ Pauly D has a daughter, Amabella.
In May, Sammi told People that she is leaning on her ‘Jersey Shore’ co-stars for parenting advice.
“They’re actually all amazing parents and they’re very inspiring and I feel like they have given us great advice. I love what they told us” she said. “They know the ins and outs of parenthood for sure.”
