As Sister Wives fans wait with bated breath to watch Kody Brown’s upcoming appearance on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, the formerly multi-spoused TLC star has revealed that he “wouldn’t ever let” his only remaining wife Robyn participate in the quasi-military training reality series.
While promoting Season 4 of the FOX series this week, Kody told Entertainment Tonight that Robyn will definitely be tuning in to watch him compete in the upcoming season alongside 17 other reality TV stars, athletes and social media influencers.
“ … Oh, Robyn’s gonna watch!” Kody said. “Yeah, she’s intrigued by the experience.”
Despite Robyn seemingly being a ‘Special Forces’ fan, Kody went on to tell the outlet that he’d never let his one and only wife take part in the competition herself.
“I wouldn’t ever let Robyn do this,” he stated. “I would never want to put her through this. She’s a tender person, she’s a great mother, but she’s not gonna be focused on her fitness and trying to do crazy [things].”
While Kody seemed more than happy to talk about his bromance with ‘Special Forces’ cast member Johnny Manziel, as well as the grueling mental and physical tests that the cast faced in Season 4, he seemed far less interested in speaking about ‘Sister Wives.’ In fact, when asked if he ever imagined that the TLC series, which premiered in 2010, would go on for as long as it has, the show’s resident villain quickly dodged the topic.
“ … We had certain goals at the time that I don’t want to discuss here, because I do want to focus on ‘Special Forces,’ but you can watch ‘Sister Wives’ Sunday night at 9 p.m. starting on September 28 on TLC,” he stated.
Despite Kody’s best attempt to side-step all ‘Sister Wives’ inquiries, the ET reporter persisted by mentioning to Kody the apologies that fans see him giving to ex-wives Meri, Christine and Janelle Brown in the Season 20 trailer, and asking how he thinks his former wives will react to his ‘Special Forces’ debut.
“I don’t think any of them will watch me on this show,” Kody replied.
As The Ashley told you last week, Christine revealed on The Sarah Fraser Show that while she isn’t that interested in seeing Kody tough it out on the ‘Special Forces’ training courses, she believes that her husband, David Woolley, will want to tune in. During the same interview, Christine admitted she “was totally shocked” when she heard that Kody was competing on the show.
“I’m like, we’ll just see if his skills are as good as his ego,” she said. “No, did I just say that out loud?! I did not! No, that’s terrible.”
Season 4 of ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test’ premieres Thursday, September 25 on FOX; Season 20 of ‘Sister Wives’ premieres Sunday, September 28 on TLC.

I am NOT a Robyn fan. At all. But for Kody to say the competition is too tough for her? The only thing I’ve ever admired about Robyn is the fact that she gave birth to her last two babies on her bed at home with no pain medication and no noises louder than a pushing grunt. I was impressed. THAT takes a tough person. I’d like to see you try that, Grody! I don’t buy it that she is “tender” as he claims, but it is possible to have a tender heart and a fierce mental mindset when competing. Stupid Kody, mouthing off more nonsense. 🙄

Sometimes I wonder if Robyn is as bad as everyone says or if Kody villainized her to everyone in an effort to constantly “protect” her. She obviously sucks but I think Kody caused a lot of the problems between her and the other Sister Wives with his weird “protector” bravado.
She definitely sucks for sure, but I think you have a good point. She did her own damage, but Kody speaks about Robyn like she’s this demure, sweet little angel lady that is to be protected at all costs. I know how angry it makes me, so I can’t imagine how the other wives felt. Definitely hate bait.
Since when is Robyn shy and quiet?? Is this a PR thing?? Because the Robyn we’ve all seen on SW is loud and likes to yell. She is not shy or quiet at all!
