The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul has been named the Bachelorette for Season 22.
The 31-year-old announced the big news on the latest episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, during which Taylor also confirmed that she will be returning for Season 3 of ‘SLOMW.’
As fans of the Hulu series know, Taylor is one of the OG members of “MomTok” and was previously involved in the soft-swinging scandal that ultimately ended her marriage to husband Tate Paul, with whom she shares two children. Viewers watched on Season 1 of ‘SLOMW’ as Taylor moved on with boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, with the two welcoming a son together before going on to split.
While discussing her new ‘Bachelorette’ gig on ‘Call Her Daddy,’ Taylor admitted that she initially questioned how she would juggle the dating series with her all of her other obligations, including co-parenting with her exes. She also admitted that she didn’t give her most-recent ex Dakota a heads up before accepting the role.
“I have not confirmed it with him,” she said, as reported by People. “So I don’t know if he knows or if he knew I had the opportunity. So he’ll know Wednesday.”
As for Dakota’s reaction to the news, Taylor predicted that he would most like be sad about it, despite noting that he was already aware that she’s been “dating” and “meeting people.”
“ … we’ve already had that first hurt, I guess,” she said. “I think that’s the hardest part is when you see their first dating or hookup or whatever it is. That’s always gonna take a toll no matter what.”
While Taylor will soon be gearing up to find love as the new ‘Bachelorette,’ she showed zero interest in doing so earlier this year. Taylor shared in February on Instagram that “nothing sounds worse” than re-entering the dating scene.
It appears that she’s since had a change of heart.
Taylor’s jump to Bachelor Nation comes just months after it was announced that two of her ‘SLOMW’ co-stars, Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck, will be competing on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.
Season 22 of ‘The Bachelorette’ will premiere next year on ABC.

Im going to watch this. I haven’t seen anything from the Bachelor franchise since probably around 2017.
It’s going to be messy AF. It’s a needle in a haystack if we think finding love in 6 weeks on a TV show with dozens of other contestants (wanting to be influencers) is possible.
Not to mention Taylor has three children and an ex she was friends with benefits sometime in the last year (if not more recently).
I dont think she will find love on the show, but im watching anyway.

And the lucky winner gets a divorced mom with 3 kids by two different baby daddies. I can’t imagine signing up for that.
