Janelle Brown Pays Tribute to Late Friend Who Appeared on Sunday’s ‘Sister Wives’ Episode: Details on Angela Moody’s Death

Janelle Brown posted a touching tribute to her late friend, Angela Moody, whose death was mentioned at the end of Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives. In a post made to Instagram on Monday, Janelle revealed that Angela—- who appeared on Sunday’s episode in a scene filmed at a restaurant in April— passed away last month.

Fans on social media expressed their confusion regarding Angela’s death, and The Ashley has uncovered more details about her untimely passing.

“My dear friend Angela left to return to her heavenly home on Oct 1st,” Janelle wrote. “Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her.

“She, Kristina and I shared locations on our phone – something that happened when we were on vacation once and we never ended when we got back. She would always text me and ask, ‘Why are you in Canada?’ ‘What are you doing in UT,’ ‘What are you doing at DFW?’ And I loved that. It made me feel watched over. I still expect her to chime in and then I remember she won’t be doing that anymore.”

Janelle went on to call Angela a “person of pure love” who always took care of everyone around her.

“Angela you are so missed,” Janelle wrote. “Kristina and I are still sharing locations and I love that your phone has remained on for a little while longer. For some reason seeing your location pop up gives me comfort. We kept Garrison’s phone on for a long time for that same reason. Meet you on the other side my friend.”

Angela on Sunday’s episode of ‘Sister Wives’…

Angela— who was only 51 years old when she died— passed away unexpectedly, according to a GoFundMe created by her daughter Taylor.

A Facebook post made by Angela’s husband Craig last month revealed more details about her death, including the fact that she struggled with a secret opioid addiction.

“Angela was so deeply loved. Most of you did not know the demons she faced,” Craig wrote. “The last seven years were full of pain and, truthfully, I lost the woman I fell in love with at least six years ago. To the opioid pandemic and those who overprescribe: you stole her.

“Having had a front-row seat to her suffering, and sharing a bed with that darkness, please know that I did everything in my power to help her heal…”

As ‘Sister Wives’ fans are aware, Janelle suffered another devastating loss last year when her son Garrison died by suicide at the age of 25. Janelle and other family members later revealed that Garrison had a drinking problem that he, too, kept relatively quiet.

“I don’t know what happened,” Janelle said during an episode of ‘Sister Wives’ that aired earlier this year. “He was never a drinking kid, he didn’t like the taste of it. And he started to drink during COVID and something happened in this last year and it really just got him.”
