Demi Engemann is doubling down on her decision to make light of herā¦umm, experience with Fruity Pebbles cereal, despite previously claiming on social media that it was a āprivate experienceā between her and her husband, Bret Engemann.
As The Ashley told you last week, after teasing Demi and Bret’s āFruity Pebblesā scandal since Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, fans finally learned last week what āFruity Pebblesā means, thanks (I guess?) to cast member Jessi Ngatikaura, who took to social media to spill the pee tea on Demi and Bret’s secret “crazy sex story” amid her and Demi’s ongoing feud.
āSince she wants to be petty and be an a**hole, I think Iām just going to go ahead and say that Grandpa Bret likes to drink her [urine] like itās dirty soda, and he gulps it down like water,ā Jessi revealed in an Instagram Story. āAnd thatās what āFruity Pebblesā is.ā
While Demi initially fired back at Jessiās comments, insisting that what she and Bret ādid one time behind closed doors was a consensual and private experience in our marriage,ā she went on to post multiple videos to social media joking about the situation, leading many āSLOMWā fans to accuse her of being a hypocrite.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Demi revealed why sheās āowningā the āFruity Pebbles,ā despite initially requesting privacy on the matter.
āYa know, āFruity Pebblesā has been a topic that weāve all teased and talked about for so long and as much as it was a private moment and we never planned on sharing this ourselves, we have nothing else left to do other than just, like, own it and have fun with it,ā she said.
Demi also provided some insight on why she chose to publicly confirm what Jessi revealed, despite the awkwardness that followed.
āI think I just thought, itās out there and itās gonna be talked about enough,ā she said. āI was able to handle the comments and everything with just more levity, which was nice, because itās an awkward topic. Iām not gonna lie, like, yeah, I had to go to Thanksgiving the next day. It was not ideal.ā
While rolling up at to a family function 24 hours after FruityPebblesGate may not have been ideal, Demi dropped another cereal-related post that same dayā this time, showing her walking into the holiday get together holding a tray of homemade Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispy Treats.

In addition to unabashedly churning out cereal content in the wake of last weekās reveal, Demi insists sheās made peace with the fact that viewers may not have the full-story behind her and Jessi’s feud.
āThere are things that people have seen on-camera, thereās things that people havenāt seen and Iām kind of at peace with it,ā she said, adding that she does feel like Jessi takes āa lot of time out of her life to make it a point to dislike me.ā
Still, Demi said thereās hope for reconciliation between her and Jessiā at least on her end, anyway.
āOn my end, 100 percent,ā Demi said. āIf [our āSLOMWā co-stars] Whitney [Leavitt] and Mikayla [Matthews] can become friends again ā¦ there is hope for Demi and Jessi.
āAt the end of the day, like, I never wish anyone ill will and I donāt want to ever see anyone fail or suffer,ā she continued. āI want to see her do well and I hope she is doing well.ā

Jessi and Demi look like twins. I can barely tell them apart. And nobody wants to hear about Fruity Pebbles. Except Jessi and Demi who keep fanning the flames.
