‘Sister Wives’ Star Kody Brown Apologizes to Ex Christine for Being So Angry Over Their Breakup; Christine Calls His Apology “Weird”

“Much like your hairdo, this apology is confusing and strange, Kody…”

Kody Brown’s ex-wife apology tour hit a snag on Sunday’s episode of Sister Wives, with the “father” of 18’s latest efforts to make amends coming across as “weird” to his former spouse Christine.

As fans of ‘Sister Wives’ know, Kody revealed to his only remaining wife Robyn earlier this season that he planned to meet up with each of ex-wives to apologize for his actions following their respective splits. Kody kicked off his ex-wife apology tour by meeting up with Janelle in North Carolina and on Sunday’s episode, he prepared to deliver his second in-person apology, this time to Christine, who was the first to exit the Browns’ plural marriage in 2021.

“Is he making all these amends for AA or something?”
“More like A paycheck…”

Prior to meeting up with Christine, Kody– who said he invited Christine’s husband David Woolley to join them out of “respect”– told viewers he wasn’t expecting the conversation with Christine “to be easy necessarily,” nor was he hoping to receive the “same kind of tenderness and grace” from her as he did from Janelle.

“That’s kind of MY thing, if I’m being honest…that and wearing visors!”

“I think the last time we talked about our relationship may very well have been when she told me she’s done and she wants to move,” Kody recalled during the episode. “I mean, I didn’t react really positively to any of that.”

While Kody recognized that he was “walking into an environment where trust has been killed,” upon sitting down with Christine (and David), he was quick to apologize for their breakup, particularly for “how it all went down.”

“I’ll drink to that!”

“I want to apologize for being angry about it,” Kody continued. “I want to apologize for the struggles … I want you to be able to heal.”

In response, Christine assured Kody that it was all “in the past.”

“Apologies are nice, but I’m saying it’s OK,” she added.

In true Kody fashion, he then took some credit for Christine’s current state of wedded bliss, pointing out that if he hadn’t “messed it up” between himself and Christine, she wouldn’t have found happiness with David, whom she married in 2023.

“We knew we weren’t getting out of this place without having to witness Kody pat himself on the back at least once.”

He then went on to tell Christine (as he told Janelle) that he regretted saying after his trio of divorces that he “didn’t love” any his ex-wives, insisting that his words had come from a place of anger.

“I was angry and that wasn’t cool,” Kody said.

Despite previously taking issue with Kody’s claim of never loving her (or Janelle or Meri), Christine revealed on Sunday’s episode that she found it “weird” for Kody to bring up his past feelings for her in the presence of her current husband.

Raise your hand if you think Christine and David should be grateful you didn’t spend the whole conversation talking about your fitness routine and your shy wife…

“Again, you just got to let that go,” she told viewers of Kody’s remarks. “Look, I remember what it was like, but I’ve got a new husband here now and it’s weird, right? It’s weird, man. That’s a weird thing to say.

“I have a husband right here now, you know, [for Kody] to [say], ‘I used to love you,’” she continued. “I can’t imagine what’s going through David’s head right now. … That doesn’t affect me, that’s you.”

While viewers will have to wait until next week’s episode to see the conclusion of Kody’s apology to Christine, in a preview of Sunday’s episode, Christine continues to note how “weird” Kody’s remarks are coming across, before David weighs in on the topic.

“Get him, David! Aim for a kidney!”

“You know damn well you loved her because you wouldn’t have gotten married, you wouldn’t have had all these kids, if you didn’t love her,” David says of Kody.

Meanwhile, back at the face-to-face, Kody acknowledges to Christine and David that there is “so much water under the bridge,” before reminding them that he’s there to apologize.

“Start with your kids,” David replies, referring to the many children from whom Kody is estranged.

“Ladies and gentlemen, David Woolley”

  1. Kody, “I was angry and it wasn’t cool”. He was an a**. His thinking his crappy apologies will help those women shows his ignorance. They helped themselves when they moved on. He fully expects the mothers of his kids to run interference for him rather than face his kids himself. Truthfully I don’t know why Janelle, Christine and Meri would even sit down with him. He isn’t worth the time. He has 15 biological kids, one of whom is in a grave, but all he can talk about and smile about is the pretty and shy wife. He is a bully and an idiot. I hope pretty and shy Robyn is miserable every minute she spends with him. She deserves that much!

  2. This is the only way Kody Brown can film for the show with other family, without reaching out to his kids to apologise to them, they have to be obliged by contract.
He is still expecting an apology from them to Robyn because she was traumahtized in a gift exchange conversation.

  3. This arrogant fool wants Christine to be able to heal? Dude, she’s moved on and is remarried! She doesn’t give a rat’s @ss about you! This guy thinks these women are suffering and pining away. He’s such a tool. All three of the ex “wives” are living their best lives.

  4. The question is, why is Kody suddenly apologizing to his ex wives? Is he finally seeing the end of the paychecks for him and Robyn? Is he hoping that he can somehow continue the show so he and his pretty and shy wife don’t have to get real jobs? After all the horrible things he said to those 3 women over the years and screaming how it hurt him? Not a thought of his kids? Yet it was a knife to his kidneys. The women should tell him to move on and get a life. He will always be a jerk.

    1. This X 1,000 %. This so-called “apology tour” is producer-driven BS. Chiclet teeth and Sobbyn cannot redeem their selfishness and hatefulness in rejecting the OG 13 (now sadly 12) children he has with the OG 3 wives. Bravo David in telling Father Jackass that he needs to apologize and say “I’m sorry” to his children, FFS.

      1. Yes!!!! Love that he said it! That is where he should start because if he truly apologized and tried to have a relationship with his kids that would give Janelle, Christine, and Meri, an actual reason to accept apology and let’s face it, they don’t care! They only want their kids to have a relationship with their dad, because these ladies are good moms!!

  5. I really love that David said what he said- “Start with your kids”. Someone needed to say it. And honestly, Christine, Janelle and Meri all are adults and were the duration of their and Kody’s relationship so they are all essentially responsible to heal from the marriage. The kids are the ones that weren’t responsible nor deserving of Kody being an absolute twat to them- then and STILL. So, Kudos to David for telling him like it is.
