After nearly fifteen years, My Strange Addiction is returning to TLC with an all new season and all new stories from people living with “strange” compulsions and fixations.
As fans of the original series may know, ‘My Strange Addiction’ debuted on TLC in 2010 and went on to air for five seasons, introducing viewers to dozens of individuals with interesting addictions along the way.
According to TLC, the return of ‘My Strange Addiction’ is something that fans of the original show have been wanting for years.

“Over the years, ‘My Strange Addiction’ has built a passionate fan base that never stopped talking about it, sharing the most viral moments, and asking when we’d bring it back,” Alon Orstein, SVP of Production and Development for TLC said in a press release. “The new season delivers everything people love about the series. It’s bold, surprising, and completely unforgettable. TLC is proud to continue showcasing the stories that endlessly captivate audiences, with the real and extraordinary human experiences you truly cannot find anywhere else.”
Premiering next month, the new season of ‘My Strange Addiction’ will kick off with Wendy, a Floridian with a “lifelong habit of eating two pounds of raw meat a day.” After coming clean about her “addiction” at her fiancé’s family BBQ, Wendy is met with concern over her addiction and the health risks she’s long ignored.

The season premiere will also include the story of Craig, a bodybuilder whose “teenage bulking hobby has spiraled into a 360-pound obsession,” and Kathryn, a “serial food snorter” who stopped chewing her food after accepting a dare in college.

Other addictions in the new season include Anthony, a man who consumes several makeup products a week; Carlos, who insists that his daily bug-eating habit is completely harmless; and Kaylyn, who forages and eats grass daily as a way to cope with childhood grief.

The new season of ‘My Strange Addiction’ will also introduce viewers to Sarah, a woman whose relationship with her AI chatbot boyfriend has caused a strain in her family; Socratis, a veteran battling PTSD, who has welcomed more than 100 snakes into his home after “discovering their calming effect”; Tajah, a 35-year-old with a lifelong thumb-sucking habit that has not only caused skin damage, but also completely “derailed her dating life”; a woman who admittedly enjoys noshing on hot-glue sticks; a cardboard eater and more.
The return of ‘My Strange Addiction’ comes more than two years after TLC announced My Strange Addiction: Still Addicted?, a series that brought fans of the original series long-awaited updates from some of the show’s most memorable– and strangest– “addicts.”
