“90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” Star Forrest Atwood-McKenzie Receives Backlash Over Relationship Timeline with Girlfriend Sheena, Criminal Record & More

*Allegedly.

Forrest Atwood-McKenzie has landed in hot water after avid 90 Day Fiancé fans began digging up information on the franchise newcomer that contradicts the story being portrayed on Season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, particularly the timeline of Forrest’s relationship with Filipina girlfriend Sheena.

According to the show, Forrest from Oregon and Sheena from the Philippines have been in a long-distance relationship for seven years, communicating completely offline. Their storyline this season follows Forrest as he and his parents take their first trip to the Philippines to meet Sheena and her family for the first time; however, that is seemingly not the case.

Forrest and Sheena of “Before the 90 Days” Season 8…

As seen on a recent episode of the show, Sheena’s family owns a modern bed and breakfast in the city of Tagaytay, which is where Forrest and his parents will be staying for the second leg of their trip to the Philippines.

In a since-deleted Reel posted to the bed and breakfast’s Instagram page on November 13, 2023, Forrest and other guests could be seen posing in front of a Christmas tree, leaving many fans skeptical of Forrest and Sheena’s storyline, as this season is slated to focus on Forrest’s alleged “first meeting” with Sheena’s parents.

One viewer called out the seemingly deceitful timeline in a comment on the latest teaser for the show, while placing much of the blame on TLC.

“Still mad at you, TLC, for lying to us about this relationship,” the fan wrote. “They’ve already met previously, so why are we acting like they never met!?”

Meanwhile, others acknowledged the fake storyline, but vowed to continue watching this season, citing their enjoyment of Forrest and Sheena’s chemistry.

“The jig is up but I’m still watching,” one viewer commented.

How very Sheena of them…

In addition to the previous trip to the Philippines, fans have also uncovered questionable details from Forrest’s past. Court records obtained by Starcasm and posted to Facebook show that Forrest was evicted in October 2023 and continued to “harass his old neighbors by recording them on his cell phone.” He was also reported in July of 2021 for “suspicious activity”; the reporting party alleged “drug activity,” which Forrest denied in the police report.

In November 2022, the TLC star filed a noise complaint against his neighbors, despite the fact that “no excessive noise was heard outside the apartment door.” He then alleged after the police left that the neighbors “yelled at him through his door” and “[banged] on the walls.”

Additionally, a Reddit user compiled some of Forrest’s most problematic Twitter posts from before he joined the “90 Day Fiancé” franchise, which have started to sour the fun-loving innocent character portrayed on the show. In one of his controversial posts, Forrest weighed in on a list of popular adult content categories, insisting that, “Men don’t like dealing with real women these days or [looking] at them after knowing everyone saw [their] gross goods that have been used.”

Other posts show Forrest openly criticizing women’s appearances, calling Mariah Carey an “old lady [who] needs help” and Sabrina Carpenter someone who is “not very attractive in [his] opinion.”

Forrest, looking back on his social media history…probably.

Forrest also made a homophobic comment in response to promotional materials for Portland Pride in 2024.

“I thought pride was over,” he wrote. “How many pride days do we have?”

Many fans have shared their thoughts following the discovery of these tweets, with one Reddit user noting that they weren’t surprised by the information that has surfaced.

“Overly attached mother with no sexual boundaries and a man with no real woman experience turns out to hate women? Color me surprised. Shocked,” the viewer wrote.

“I think we can all agree that I deserve to come back for another spinoff to redeem myself, right? RIGHT!?”

Others in the comments united to not excuse Forrest’s behavior, despite him being open on the show about having autism.

“Being autistic doesn’t give you the license to talk like this,” one person wrote. “He definitely knows better.”

Forrest, Sheena and TLC have not responded to the recent backlash.

New episodes of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” air Sundays on TLC.
