Things just keep getting worse for Dakota Mortensen!
Variety confirmed that the ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ star will be edited out of the third season of ‘Vanderpump Villa’ following domestic violence allegations against him and his ex-girlfriend Taylor Frankie Paul.
Lisa Vanderpump, the executive producer and star of the show, told People exclusively that Dakota “didn’t really have a big storyline” in the upcoming season and removing him “hasn’t affected the story.”

The show, which is set to premiere on April 16, is “ready to go,” Lisa says, so she does not want the current drama with Dakota and Taylor to take away from the show.
“We don’t want to shine a spotlight on something that’s been so controversial when we have so much great content…” she said. “We’ve got so much ‘feel-good factor’ and so much story content anyway. The visuals are beautiful, the stories are complicated. There’s a lot of humor in it, there’s a lot of funny, sexy time and it’s a great show. It’s great entertainment.”
She did confirm that Dakota had “a brief storyline of an interaction with somebody else, and we just scaled that back because of the controversy.”

In mid-March, TMZ was the first to report that Taylor and Dakota got in a physical argument earlier this year, where Taylor allegedly choked him, ripped his necklace off, and grabbed at his throat and face while their now two-year-old son Ever was in the room. Taylor has also made domestic violence accusations against Dakota, which he later stated were “baseless.”
“As anyone who has seen the video will understand, this is a deeply upsetting situation. I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny,” Dakota claimed in a statement shortly after he was accused of physically assaulting Taylor. “I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same.”
The outlet also shared a video of a separate altercation from 2023 where Taylor kicked, hit, and threw stools at her ex, one of which hit her five-year-old daughter, whom she shares with her ex-husband Tate Paul. (This incident led to Taylor being arrested and charged with abeyance to aggravated assault in 2023, placing her on probation that was supposed to end this August. In a plea deal, she agreed to plead guilty in exchange for her other charges—domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse and criminal mischief— to be dropped)
As The Ashley has reported, Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” was cancelled just three days before its premiere when disturbing video of the 2023 incident was leaked. The upcoming season of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” had already had its filming paused due to the domestic violence allegations.

In addition to the ongoing domestic assault investigation, Dakota recently was granted a temporary restraining order against Taylor and received full temporary custody of their son, after a court found that Taylor “immediately threatens [Dakota’s] physical safety” and that she “has abused or committed domestic violence against” him.
Taylor has been ordered not to have contact with Dakota or their son until their court date on April 7.
Although his mug won’t be seen on ‘Vanderpump Villa,’ Dakota is still scheduled to appear on Unwell Winter Games, a YouTube reality show from Alex Cooper’s Unwell production company.
Season 3 of “Vanderpump Villa” premieres on April 16 on Hulu.

If you watch season 4, Taylor admitted to contacting Dakota in a sexual manner after the reunion. They thrive on the dysfunction. I think they truly love each other but they don’t stay and work it out. They NEED the toxicity. The burning passion is ALL they have.
Not trying to sound like an asshole, but why would he get edited out completely? All because TFP simply SAID he commited DV against her? Has that actually been confirmed or is it her attempt to rewrite the narrative over the fact she is documented on video assaulting him? Seems weird to me to make this decision and not fact-check first. Hope he sues her over defamation and loss of income if he didn’t actually do anything.
and taylor’s STILL gonna ask him if he finished 😭
