Fans React to ‘Summer House’ Star West Wilson Being Edited Out of Brand Campaign After Confirming Relationship with Amanda Batula

“What’s the deal? I thought we all agreed that CARL’S a mess, not me…”

Fans are applauding Marriott Bonvoy and the NCAA for editing West Wilson out of a recent brand campaign on the heels of the Summer House star confirming his relationship with co-star Amanda Batula.

As The Ashley previously told you, following weeks of speculation, West and Amanda finally confirmed last week that they are in a “very new” relationship.

Despite rumors swirling about the two prior to them dropping their joint statement to social media last week, many fans– as well as the ‘Summer House’ cast– were left stunned by the news of West and Amanda’s “very new” romance, including West’s ex-girlfriend and Amanda’s close friend, Ciara Miller, and Amanda’s husband, Kyle Cooke, whom she announced her split from in January.

The happy new couple, with West’s ex/Amanda’s (now) former friend, Ciara…

While West and Amanda have both maintained a low profile in the days following their relationship announcement, fans were less than thrilled to see West pop up in a brand campaign over the weekend– so much, in fact, that the brand ultimately removed all images of the ‘Summer House’ star from their ad.

According to a recent post by @the.christina_chronicles on TikTok, West was originally featured alongside his Show Me Something podcast co-host, Sophie Cunningham in a campaign for Marriott Bonvoy in partnership with the NCAA. However, after receiving an influx of comments from fans criticizing West’s appearance in the ad, the Marriott Bonvoy page went on to delete the post and re-edit it to no longer include the ‘Summer House’ star, while leaving the clips of Sophie in the ad.

In response to the brand’s re-edited version, fans took to the comments to react– mostly positively– to the change, with some praising the brand for seemingly showing their support for Ciara.

“Shout out to Marriott Bonvoy for being a girl’s girl…unlike SOME people.”

“Love how you took West out,” one person wrote. “Way to support women!”

“Thank you for removing him,” read another comment, with another fan writing, “Good that human bed bug is gone from the ad.”

“Thank you for removing the 🤡,” another person commented.

According to Reality Blurb, Amanda was recently nixed from a brand campaign of her own, with Edie Parker pulling a collab they had done with the ‘Summer House’ star from Instagram last week. (While the brand went on to post an unnamed person wearing the shirt that Amanda had been wearing in some of the original images from the collab, the post appears to have been taken down by the brand.)

  1. And furthermore nobody messed with Kyle Cooks income when he was cheating on Amanda with god knows who all and talking to her like she was some random.Stranger, that had wronged him. How’s that for fair

  2. Stay strong you 2 it will all blow over and you will be old news , q i can’t believe in this day and time someone’s income
Would be messed with because of who they’re dating? That is just stupid

    1. Okay. So if I’m getting this right, there was no cheating or anything like that? What the hell are people up in arms about? They think the relationship is anti feminism because she was friends with his ex? Do people not know what feminism means anymore? Feminism means you support equal pay and opportunities for women. It does NOT mean you have to support, like, or even be loyal to another woman. Younger generations are screwing up what us older generations actually worked for by being too touchy feely and not understanding what movements are actually about. Jesus. It isn’t all about feelings all the time. Get some common sense before we go fucking backwards.
