Casey Johnson, father of Season 7 Unexpected star Hunter Johnson, is taking additional legal steps to protect 14-year-old Hunter from the parents of his 16-year-old baby mama, Bella Vaughn, whom Casey believes are “encouraging conduct inconsistent with appropriate boundaries for a minor child.”
Starcasm reports that Casey recently went back to court to try to get the judge to add even more boundaries to ensure his son’s safety (and to hopefully prevent him from getting Bella pregnant again). The new boundaries Casey is hoping a judge will set in place are in response to behavior exhibited by Bella’s parents, Kris and Falen Vaughn, both on and off TV.
As fans of ‘Unexpected’ know, Casey has been accused on the show of basically abandoning his son after Hunter, who was only 12 years old at the time, impregnated Bella. However, as The Ashley exclusively reported last month, court documents revealed that Casey actually began fighting for custody of Hunter in April 2025 in an effort to get his son away from the “unstable and unwholesome environment” created by Hunter’s mom, Stacie Riddle.

Casey went on to receive temporary joint custody of Hunter in November, at which point he had the court put in place restrictions so that Hunter would no longer be allowed to “live with” Bella and her family, or sleep over at their house. Despite these restrictions– and the fact that Hunter has been spending every other week in his father’s care–

According to the outlet, Casey filed two separate motions in Arkansas court this week– one asking the court to enforce the existing temporary custody order and to modify it with new restrictions, and a second to amend the motion with additional requested restrictions. (A request for an expedited hearing was also included in the second motion.)
While the existing temporary custody order already prohibits sleepovers between Hunter and Bella– who are parents to son Wesley– Casey stated in his filing this week that he “has reason to believe” that Hunter is still spending “extended periods of time” at the Vaughn’s residence and is accusing Falen and Kris of allowing these extended visits to go unsupervised. He also claims that Bella’s parents allow conduct within their home that is inappropriate for a minor child, including sexual activity and of “broadcast[ing] information on said activity on a national television show.”

Additionally, Casey noted that Bella’s parents had provided Hunter with a cellphone, on which they “actively track his location.” He also took issue with Bella’s parents allowing Hunter to participate in live social media broadcasts, during which Hunter is “allowed to discuss topics and engage in conversations that are not age appropriate.” Casey argued in his filing that this content is accessible to the public and exposes Hunter to “unnecessary scrutiny and inappropriate subject matter.”
“The allowance of such conduct reflects a lack of appropriate supervision and judgement by [Kris] and [Falen] and [Stacie] and further demonstrates that the environment is not in [Hunter’s] best interest,” the motion stated.
As a result, Casey has requested that the court prohibit Kris and Falen from contacting Hunter without Casey’s supervision, and that Hunter be prohibited from being at the Vaughn’s home “for any purpose unless accompanied and directly supervised” by Casey himself. Hunter’s dad asked that the court also ban unsupervised visits between Hunter and Bella.

As for Hunter’s (presumably second) cellphone, Casey is requesting that he maintain and control any cellphone used by Hunter, and that the teen no longer be allowed to have a phone provided to him by Bella’s parents.
Casey noted in his amended custody motion that he is requesting an expedited hearing for various reasons, including the fact that Hunter is allegedly missing school on the weeks that he is with his mother and that Stacie and Bella’s parents are “failing to impose appropriate boundaries and may be facilitating continued inappropriate conduct, including the risk of an additional pregnancy.”
To Casey’s point, just this week, Bella and her older sister Emi Vaughn– who is also a teen mom– filmed themselves taking pregnancy tests in response to rumors circulating online that Bella and Hunter are expecting another baby. In the video– which was posted to Kris and Falen’s joint TikTok page– Bella insisted that the rumors of her pregnancy were false, though she didn’t disclose any updates on what (if any) method of birth control she and Hunter are using after previously shutting down the suggestion of getting on birth control this season on ‘Unexpected.’

While Falen previously slammed Hunter’s stepmom, Brettney Johnson, in March for discussing the custody battle for Hunter on social media, Falen (and Bella) continue to speak about Hunter’s relationship with his father online, with Falen recently blaming the teen’s family (aka Casey) for “not making it any better.”

“ … We have done a lot for [Hunter] over the last two years, and I’m not gonna go into detail because it’s no one’s business, but I will tell you that he has been through a lot,” Falen recently stated on TikTok. “Hunter has been through a lot. A lot of trauma– a lot, okay? And is it getting any better? No, it’s not. Because his family’s not making it any better.”
As Falen and Bella’s “debriefing/ranting” video continued, Bella told viewers she had more to add to her mom’s comments about Hunter’s family (aka Casey), which she planned to share in a separate video posted to her TikTok account.

“ … I’m about to make a video on that, so y’all are gonna hate that one, but it’s gonna make us a lot of money,” Bella said. “I’m excited about that.”

Never in my life have I been happier to read about a dad filing for custody and all of this!!!! Pop off boy raccoon!
They are absolutely grooming Hunter and are stupid enough to do so in national television and on social media. Hunter’s dad has a lot of proof thanks to these dimwits
Thank god Casey is the adult in all this.
Admittedly I’ve never seen an episode of this series (16 & Pregnant PTSD, thanks MTV), and I’ve only ever read horrendous things about the couples on this show over the years.
The fact TLC would even follow this story proves how far we as a society have fallen (but they gave us the Duggar’s… so I digress). Bella’s “it’s gonna make me a lot of money” comment tells me everything I need to know. Her parents taught her nothing but greed and exploitation, and I truly hope Casey gets custody of Hunter and his grandson to keep them away from these greedy, 15 minutes of fame hungry, parasites on humanity.
Of course they are in Arkansas. That explains it. CPS is awful everywhere but in Arkansas you have the backwards, redneck, and often fundamental Christians running things. They need to start banning reality shows with people under 18. Expecting parents to actually protect and parent their children is asking too much these days, sadly.
Fallon and her family are trash. Also, it is concerning how someone is so hyper sexualized at such a young age. I hope Hunter’s dad gets full custody and then they go for at least visitation for his baby. (If not custody.) DCFS should be looking into this family.
They’re literally exploiting minors. Fucking gross-ass people.
Her family and his mom are suuuuch a bunch of moldy trashbags! CPS really needs to take a look at them. Hope Casey gets full custody and a restraining order. Turn off the TLC money tap and see what these freaks do! That they gave them a platform and are contributing to this insanity is contributing to the delinquency of a minor, encouraging truancy, and pretty much guaranteeing that none of these kids will even graduate from high school or have any sort of decent future. If I ran the world, most of the adults involved, including the show’s producers would be in jail at this point.
