Elizabeth Johnston isn’t ruling out the possibility of reconciling with her estranged sister, Anna Johnston; however, the 7 Little Johnstons star claims that Anna’s decision to no longer appear on their family’s show makes it “difficult” for that reconciliation to actually happen.
As fans of “7 Little Johnstons” know, Anna opted not to return for Season 17 of the TLC series amid her ongoing estrangement from her parents Amber and Trent Johnston and siblings, despite her fractured relationship with her family being a major storyline on the previous season. (As fans also know, Anna’s exit from the show hasn’t kept the Johnstons from continuing to discuss her during Season 17– something Anna called out on social media last month.)
While Anna has continued to express a desire to reconcile with her parents and siblings, Liz confirmed in a new interview with Reality Nightcap that she and Anna are still “not speaking,” while reminding fans that it was Anna’s decision to leave “7 Little Johnstons.”
“ … Just like in one of the earlier episodes this season, my mom put it well … we have the choice of being on the show and [Anna] has that choice too, and she did not want to be,” she said.

Liz– who excluded her older sister from her wedding to husband Brice Bolden last year– went on to state that she and Anna remain “on different paths” at this time. Though she said she hopes that their estrangement will end in the future, she didn’t sound too convincing during the interview.
“ … hopefully one day our paths will come back together and things will be mended and fixed, but as of right now, we are just navigating, everybody in my family are navigating their lives in their own ways,” she said.
As for what it would take for the Johnstons to reunite with Anna, Liz claimed that there are two sides to the story and that fans are seeing this narrative play out on social media from Anna’s side, as well as from the rest of the Johnston Family’s side.
Between the diametrically opposed narratives and claims being made by “the tabloids,” Liz said she’s unsure as to what it would take to mend things within the family, though she insisted that she and her parents (and presumably her and Anna’s siblings) are open to having a conversation with Anna.

“Hopefully one day there will be a time where she would like to come and sit down with us and want to figure this out, obviously, because we’re not permitting her to not come over here [to our parents’ house],” Liz said. “Like my parents said, all of us kids and our significant others are welcome over here anytime, you have a key.
“And I mean, [Brice and I] show up unannounced here all the time, and especially with [our daughter] Leighton, and it’s the same for [Anna] … ,” she continued.
Liz went on to add that in order for the family to have this conversation with Anna, they would all need to determine a time for it to happen, due to Anna no longer filming for their family’s show.

“ … it does make it a little difficult now that she’s no longer part of the show– as of right now– so we’ll just have to wait and see,” Liz said. “It takes time and I mean, generally, that’s the biggest thing. It takes time … and there’s a lot of unknown things that have happened between now and then … .”

I have a family like hers. Very manipulative and use religion as a weapon. Stay away, Anna. It won’t get better unless your entire family gets personality transplants.
Awwww what’s wrong liz? Is the show viewing going down? Awww dee dums.
Do you all have to find jobs (playing a mini violin for you)
Your family treated Anna disgusting, you all treated her like something you stepped in.
Anna has proven herself to be a better person than all of you, alot of us support Anna and we chose to not watch the show.
And now your saying cause Anna left the show it’s gonna be hard to reconcile, so you’re now trying to manipulate Anna tut tut liz you’re definitely another amber and that’s not a good thing.
The reconciliation has zero to do with TV. They don’t film 365/24/7. Liz is a mini-Amber.
But they got mad on the show that she showed up unannounced. Make it make sense.
Why would Anna want to reconcile with any of them? Just because they’re family doesn’t mean she should put up with their BS.
Family is complicated. Anna will realize that she loves her family and that she needs them and she’ll reconcile. She’ll also be missing those TLC checks…..
