Lindsie Chrisley‘s on-and-off boyfriend, David Landsman has been sprung from jail following his arrest for felony aggravated assault and battery on April 10.
David bonded out on Saturday but it still facing very serious charges after— according to TMZ— he allegedly “went berserk” during an argument with Lindsie after she allegedly “confronted him about a lie she caught him in.” The site reported that David was the one who called the cops initially, but when they arrived they “saw visible injuries on Lindsie” and arrested David for aggravated assault via strangulation.
On Saturday, Lindsie resurfaced for the first since David’s arrest, posting a cryptic phrase to Instagram Stories.
“I don’t recognize myself anymore,” the post reads. “Not in my laughter, not in my silence. Somewhere between surviving and pretending, I became a stranger to my own soul.”
Lindsie and David’s on-and-off-again relationship has seemingly been toxic from the very beginning, with the former Chrisley Knows Best constantly alternating between breaking up with him and teasing the public that they have gotten engaged/married, etc.
As you may remember, Lindsie raised eyebrows last summer when she changed her last name on social media from “Chrisley” to David’s last name, “Landsman,” despite her and David not being married or engaged. Before claiming on her podcast The Southern Tea that she dropped “Chrisley” because it was “problematic for business,” Lindsie posted a series of photos to social media that suggested she and David may have eloped during a trip to Florida.
While Lindsie and David didn’t tie the knot last summer, the two did go on to make up and break up in the coming months, with the couple more recently calling it quits after David allegedly cheated on Lindsie on Valentine’s Day, which Lindsie found out about after someone messaged her online about the infidelity.
Despite the public split, Lindsie (and David) was soon back to dropping hints on her podcasts and on social media that she and David had reunited, however neither had confirmed the status of their relationship. Last month, David even made an [attention-seeking] post in which he asked Lindsie’s estranged dad Todd Chrisley (via Instagram Story) if he could marry Lindsie.
Interestingly, just hours before David was arrested Friday for battery and aggravated assault, he and Lindsie partook in some vagueposting on Instagram, with the two posing for a photo in which Lindsie was kissing David’s cheek. Adding to the confusion, David captioned the post, “
” and tagged the location in Baltimore, Maryland. (As we now know— thanks to David’s arrest record— he was not in Maryland at the time the photo was posted and was actually in Georgia, where he lives.)
In the comment section of the pre-arrest post, both David and Lindsie played coy, with David writing that they “just ran into each other” and both of them writing that “no one knows” what the meet-up means for their [toxic AF] relationship.
After being sprung from the clink, David took the time to delete all but one photo featuring Lindsie from his Instagram page, including the post from Friday before his arrest. There are currently no photos of David on Lindsie’s Instagram page either.
Lindsie and David have both unfollowed each other on Instagram as well.
It is unknown as of press time when David’s next court hearing will be.

Statistically, he’s likely to kill her if he’s already strangled her.
I’m not a fan of Lindsie’s, but I hope the next choices she makes are with her safety at the forefront of her mind.
Hopefully she has the answers she needs for closure to move on.
