Father of ‘Unexpected’ Star Hunter Johnson Has Online Fundraiser Launched for Him to Help Pay Legal Fees for His Custody Battle for Hunter & Grandson Wes

Casey and Hunter in 2022…

An online fundraiser has been launched to support Casey Johnson, father of 14-year-old Unexpected Season 7 star Hunter Johnson, amid his custody fight for Hunter and Hunter’s one-year-old son Wes, whom the teen shares with girlfriend Bella Vaughn.

On Tuesday, a family member of Casey’s named Marsha Johnson created a GoFundMe aimed to support Casey and wife Brettney Johnson, who are “facing a difficult custody battle.”

Marsha explained in the description for the online fundraiser that she wanted to support Casey and Brettney “through this challenging time,” noting that the legal process can be both “overwhelming and expensive, especially when it comes to securing the right representation and covering court fees.”

“All donations to this fundraiser will go directly toward lawyer representation and court fees for Casey and Brettney,” she went on to write. “Your generosity will help them navigate the legal system and give them the best possible chance to secure a positive outcome for their family.”

The creation of this GoFundMe comes a year after Casey filed for full custody of his teenage son and nearly a week after he filed for full custody of his grandson, Wes, who was conceived by Hunter and Bella when they were just 12 and 14, respectively.

Bella and Hunter with their son, Wes…

As The Ashley previously told you, despite being portrayed as an absentee dad on the current season of ‘Unexpected’– mostly by Hunter’s mom, Stacie Riddle– and being subjected to similar accusations by Bella and her mom, Falen Vaughn, on social media, Casey continues to dispute the claims against him amid his fight for custody of Hunter and Wes.

According to Casey, Stacie removed Hunter from his care in 2024, which she was able to do as the exes never had court-ordered custody plan for their son. It was then, Casey claims, that Stacie allowed Hunter to live at Bella’s parents’ house and Hunter began missing school, before ultimately knocking up Bella. Stacie and Hunter on ‘Unexpected’…

Back in November, a temporary custody order was created, giving Casey and Stacie each 50/50 custody of Hunter, with the teen staying with each parent for a week at a time. At the time, Casey and Stacie were ordered not to harass or talk badly about the other, and forbidden from allowing Hunter to spend the night at Bella’s house. It was also stated in the order that both parents are to ensure that Hunter goes to school.

Earlier this month, however, Casey filed for additional restrictions to be put in place, citing his belief that Stacie has continued to allow Hunter to have overnight visits at Bella’s home, despite the court order prohibiting it. Casey also claimed in his filing that Stacie has not made their son go to school, which has resulted in Hunter having “excessive absences and low grades.”

The order went on to allege that Bella’s parents are tracking Hunter’s location via a cellphone the Vaughns provided for him, and that Falen and husband Kris Vaughn are allowing Hunter and Bella to have sex and to discuss their sex life on ‘Unexpected.’

“It ain’t our fault them kids wanna take showers together and talk about butt sex and stuff on TV!”

Due to his claims– as well as the concerning scenes he’s watched on the TLC series– Casey requested earlier this month that a judge move up the custody hearing and for him to be awarded full custody of Hunter. At that time, Casey also asked that a judge ban Hunter from spending time with Bella’s family unless he is present, and that Hunter and Bella be banned from spending time together unsupervised.

Casey also expressed in the filing that he wants Hunter to only be allowed to use a cellphone provided by him, in order to prevent the Vaughns from tracking the teen’s location.

“Make it a new iPhone and we gotta deal.”

As of press time, the GoFundMe to support Casey and Brettney’s custody battle for Hunter and Wes has raised over $2,600, with the current goal set at $2,800.

  1. I’d caution anyone from donating to this gofundme… this would not be the first time some rando has pocketed money donated by others. Casey isn’t even listed as the benefactor on this, it’s literally a random person from what I can tell

  2. Omg online bumming like they are famous. Jenelle is a horrible parent and Jace needs removed from her care and medical decisions until she addresses her own mental health problems. What has that girl done but try to raise and love her child? You people are insane to send this guy cash. Why does her child need taken? Let’s see how much he has provided for the baby he is trying to take from its mother. That little boy is so immature I feel sorry for Bella. He’s always stoned look at his eyes why should the kid get to handle the baby under marijuana use or did y’all forget he smokes dope. Let’s see what they have done for the baby but let the dad see it which shouldn’t be his right to take as a dad. He knows the boy wants his family so he thinks getting the kid will fix it when Hunter wants to be with her or else he would stay away. So I as a mother couldn’t buy my kid a phone bc we are divorced. This fuggin guy is predictable just like any other sore misogynist. Probably the three pumps of missionary the reason for divorce to start with. I’m sure we as single mothers have all had this man in our lives.

    1. Holy hello hope you have adult supervision, because your delusions are insane on this and you clearly need someone who can make rational thoughts in your life.

No one, even Casey has said they want to remove Wes entirely from Bella’s life, wtaf. People simply want some common fucking sense brought to the table. Wes is not safe I’m Bella’s home. Bella and Hunter are not safe in Bella’s home. They are still literal children and need proper care themselves which they are not getting.

      Jfc

  3. Yeesh – Casey probably just wants a normal life for him and his family including Hunter. Now they’re stuck in this circus with the public gawking at his son for being a pre-teen dad.

Sounds like a nightmare for anyone that has no interest in selling their dumpster fire story for a few bucks. And Hunter is too young to make that decision for himself.
