Catelynn Lowell is slamming people for allegedly “stealing” photos that belong to her and husband Tyler Baltierra’s biological daughter Carly and proceeding to body-shame the 16-year-old, calling the act “ridiculous” and “disgusting.”
The ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ star took to TikTok this week to condemn “certain pages” (presumably ‘Teen Mom’ fan pages) for “stealing Carly’s pictures from her prom,” sharing them online, and, in some cases, even making inappropriate comment about the teen’s appearance.
“First of all, I don’t agree with [taking her pictures]. I think it’s ridiculous,” Cate said. “Second of all, why do grown adults feel the need to comment on children’s and minor’s bodies?”
Catelynn stated that when the fan pages posted the photos of Carly at her prom— which were presumably taken from the teen’s private page without permission— people in the comments were writing comments about how skinny Carly is, etc.
“ … saying that [Carly] looks like a skeleton, or she needs to eat cheeseburgers, or she’s too skinny, Nova gets the same crap,” she continued, referring to the oldest of her and Tyler’s three daughters. “It’s disgusting, aren’t we grown here?”
“Knock it off! Grow up!” she added.
Cate– who, along with Tyler, was cut off from contacting Carly in 2024 after Carly’s parents, Brandon and Teresa Davis, closed their adoption– went on to tell followers that “people can be skinny-shamed,” before adding that all of her children happen to have “very, very fast metabolisms.”
“Look at their father … ,” she noted.
Cate encouraged those who make disparaging comments about Carly or any child on social media to keep their opinions to themselves. She also stated that if she saw anyone making those sort of comments on any of her social media pages, the individual would get an “automatic block.”
“To talk about children and minor’s bodies is disgusting,” she said. “So I’ll just leave it at that … .”
As ‘Teen Mom’ fans may remember, Carly’s parents have been very protective of her privacy. Once Carly passed the toddler stage, her parents stopped allowing her face from being shown on ‘Teen Mom’ or online. (Catelynn and Tyler were not allowed to post any recent photos of Carly that showed her face.)
However, over the last year or so, photos of Carly have been posted to particular ‘Teen Mom’ social media pages. It appears that the people who run these pages are getting Carly’s pics from her private social media accounts (or those belonging to Carly’s parents or friends).
The Ashley is not posting any photos of Carly.

They should have had a closed adoption from the beginning. Catelynn, Tyler and some fans won’t let her live in peace. I think it’s sad.
While they are 100% right about the body shaming thing….
THEY are the reason this kid has become a public commodity. If she was just some random teen, nobody would be stealing her info and her pics and putting them out there for this kind of critique. If they would have respected the boundaries B&T set, not only would they still have a relationship with Carly, but Carly wouldn’t be getting showcased by media scum looking to stir up crap at a kid’s emotional expense.
This is your fault, Cate. If you and your idiotic husband weren’t constantly talking about her despite her parents’ wishes, nobody would be stealing her pics or commenting on her body so YOU need to grow up and give that girl privacy and anonymity

I think it’s wrong to body shame someone, but body shaming a child is disgusting and unacceptable. The last thing that kids need is for someone else pointing out the “imperfections” of their body. Shame on anyone who is commenting on the body of someone online.
I also think it’s disgusting, deplorable, and morally wrong for these “fan pages” to post pictures of the children—especially a child who’s parents have strived to keep her life private, like Teresa and Brandon. WE ARE NOT ENTITLED TO A PIECE OF CARLY’s LIFE. Her life is not up for public consumption like the children in the Teen Mom sphere. Shame on these sites who are stealing pieces of her privacy and childhood. Carly’s life is none of our business.

It’s interesting that no one here is condemning the “fan pages” for stealing a teens photos from a private account and posting them to their followers. Just hating Catelynn for having the audacity to talk about how hard it is to place a child for adoption.
No people are hating on Catelynn for making sure to keep Carly (whose parents have tried to give her a private upbringing)in the public eye which in turn gives these pages all the more incentive to go looking for these pictures of Carly. So it comes off all the more hypocritical for Cate to try and condemn them.
I agree with you one hundred percent. The body shaming isn’t really being brought up much either.
No one is defending those people at all. Those people are obviously in the wrong. But, let’s not pretend that all Cate is done is talk about how hard it is to place a child for adoption. That’s just a silly glossing over of what they’ve done. They kept talking about Carly and her parents in detail after being asked not to, sharing text messages and conversations. They said Brandon and Theresa had exploited Carly. They claimed that they were extremely worried about Carly and were desperate to find out information about how she’s doing, which drove them to text teens. We can’t pretend that this didn’t drive random nut jobs to further violate Carly’s privacy. Pointing out Cate’s role in this doesn’t take away from what those “fan pages” did, but it’s important to note that it didn’t happen in a vacuum.
Nobody is glossing over anything. I’m simply stating that people are missing the bullseye in many of these comments. Yes, C&T are unhinged and partly to blame, but they don’t control the actions of these other adults doing things to a minor. They “control” their own actions..not well, but that’s not the point right now.

That’s not at all what I said. People are choosing to be hateful to Catelynn instead of calling out the people who need to be called out. You can hate someone and still agree with them sometimes. Catelynn is 100% correct in what she’s saying but people are choosing to blame her for speaking about her adoption instead of placing blame on the creepy people who are stealing a teens pictures from her private account and body shaming her. While I agree none of these pages should be posting pictures of Carly, it’s a bit difficult to take Catelynn condemning it seriously after she and Tyler have done everything possible to keep Carly in the public eye. Not to mention how creepy she and Tyler were themselves texting another teen to try and get in contact with Carly behind her parents backs.
Maybe if Cate and Tyler stopped talking about her so much and had just let her live a private life, random weirdos wouldn’t care about publicizing her pictures. It really sucks that they forced her into the public eye despite her parents’ repeated pleas to let her have privacy. People talk about her because Cate and Tyler talk about her.
