“90 Day Fiance” Star Ashley Michelle Informs Husband Manuel Velez Via Instagram Post That She Wants a Divorce

“Surprise! Get out!”

Another “90 Day Fiance” couple bites the dust!

On Monday, Season 10 alum Ashley Michelle announced her split from husband Manuel Velez after four years of marriage. Unfortunately for Manuel, however, it appears he found about the divorce the same time everyone else did, via her Instagram post!

“What a shame, tomorrow is our 4-year anniversary and I’m officially asking for a divorce,” she captioned a post showing photos from her and Manuel’s coastal wedding. “I have felt unsupported by you for years and now when I am in my most vulnerable state you have done NOTHING [to] support me.”

“I am DONE. Do not come back to this house,” she concluded the post.

Although Manuel has not made an official statement responding to Ashley’s post, he posted a video of him outside with the caption, “While others want to make statements, I just want peace and quiet.”

Earlier this month, Ashley underwent a tummy tuck and a breast augmentation following her heavily documented weight loss journey. Since her time on the show in 2022, Ashley has shared that she’s lost over 150 pounds and wanted to do these surgeries for a long time to get rid of her extra skin.

Since her surgery, she hasn’t posted any content with Manuel, but did post a video showing her mom helping her down the hallway during her recovery.

“We were never meant to heal alone,” she wrote. “And needing someone behind you doesn’t make the journey any less yours.”

“So many of us go into our wellness journeys believing we should be able to figure everything out ourselves. We think asking for help means we aren’t strong enough. But sometimes strength looks like letting someone walk behind you when you can’t quite stand straight yet…”

Fans met Ashley and Manuel on Season 10 of “90 Day Fiance” when Manuel moved from Ecuador to live in Ashley’s home of Rochester, New York. They navigated Manuel’s issues with Ashley’s career as a witch, Ashley’s distrust of Manuel after finding out he has two teenage sons back home, and frequent tensions over support. Eventually, the two overcame their cultural differences and communication barriers to tie the knot in 2022.

Earlier this year, fans noticed that Ashley rarely posted social media content featuring Manuel, which prompted her to post in May, “Yes, we’re still married, for those of you asking!”

Other “90 Day Fiance” alums are showing Ashley support on her post.

“I’m sorry [Ashley], I wish you nothing but positivity and happiness in your future,” commented Kim Menzies. “You’re a beautiful, bright and great woman.”

“Welcome to the club 😢 Let’s have a divorce party together,” wrote Jasmine Pineda.

“Did you think I WASN’T going to try to make this about me?!”

“Sometimes things just don’t work out the way we planned or hoped they would,” added TJ Goswami. “It’s never an easy decision or an easy choice, but sometimes choosing yourself and your peace is the bravest thing you can do. Wishing you nothing but healing, happiness, and better days ahead.”

Interestingly, Manuel is not the first “90 Day” alum to find out his marriage is over via an Instagram post. Just last month, ‘The Other Way’ star Dylan Yeandle informed his fans that his longtime girlfriend Pattiya Phillips announced their split on social media without telling him about the breakup first.
