Lydia Plath and Zac Wyse have revealed the sad news that Lydia suffered a miscarriage of their first child.
On Wednesday, the ‘Welcome to Plathville’ stars jointly posted a black and white photo on Instagram of their baby’s ultrasound, shoes and a bouquet of roses with the text, “You were so loved.” There was also a note beneath the ultrasound addressed to “Baby Bean” that was written when the child was “11 weeks and 4 days” old. It’s unclear, however, how far along Lydia was in her pregnancy before miscarrying.
“There’s no words for the pain as we grieve the loss of our little angel,” Lydia and Zac wrote in the caption. “Our first child, our greatest love, and a true miracle. We’re so grateful for the short time we had with our baby bean.”

“You were so loved and celebrated every day we had with you! You were the talk and the joy of our lives with family, honorary aunts and uncles and friends. All so excited to love you and meet you but now you’re gone too soon.”
Lydia asked her baby to give her late brother “a hug for [her].”
(For those who don’t know, Lydia’s brother Joshua was only a year old when he died in an accident. Remembering Joshua and celebrating his legacy in the family was a primary topic of conversation during the most-recent season of “Welcome to Plathville.”)
Lydia and Zac wrote that they can’t wait to meet their baby in heaven, signing the note “Love, Mom and Dad,” along with the broken heart emoji.
Lydia, 22, and Zac, 24, had kept their pregnancy under wraps until this announcement. The couple, who got married in February 2025, have been very open about wanting to be parents and shared that they would start to grow their family after their one-year anniversary. The couple recently moved to Colorado to be closer to Zac’s family after tensions rose with the Plaths in Georgia.
Lydia’s family and siblings have yet to publicly comment on the couple’s sad news. However, they did receive some support from Teegan Nichols, who is the girlfriend of Lydia’s brother Ethan.
“I am so sorry for your guys lost,” Teegan wrote in a comment left on the post. “I can’t imagine how hard this is but take solace in the fact that they knew nothing but love. Sending healing and prayers your way.”

In August 2025, Lydia and Zac spoke to Us Weekly about their desire to have several kids.
“[We] do want babies,” Zac told the magazine. “We have baby fever.”
During that interview, Lydia stated that her father, Barry, was very ready to become a grandpa again. (As of press time, the only one of Barry and Kim‘s kids who has children is their eldest daughter, Hosanna, who has three.)
“He’s ready to be a grandfather. He’s still waiting today,” Lydia said. “I have a shelf [in our house] that was the shelf that my mom had all the baby pictures on. I have it hanging on my wall. And my dad came over and he was like, ‘You’re going to start filling that up?’”
Lydia stated that she and Zac hope to have “three to five” kids, which to her equals a family that is “not too small, not too big.”
