Is There Hope for ‘Big Brother 19’ Scapegoat Ramses Soto?

“Why does everyone gotta hate on me?!”

Ramses Soto seems to have become the permanent scapegoat on Big Brother 19. Though he has yet to have a big presence on the TV show (which is about to change since he used his curse and put himself on the block), on the live feeds he’s become a regular fixture, and not in a good way.

Ramses has become a major target for most of the house, and while he’s definitely done a few sketchy things, most of the reasons are simply lies.

He was blamed for flipping against Jillian and voting to evict her in Week 1 (even though it was actually Kevin who did that deed), and the house seems to have concluded that Ramses won the $25,000 on the first night (but again, that was Kevin).

Paul is definitely the ringleader in trying to frame Ramses. Even though he knows Ramses didn’t flip against Jillian, and Kevin even told Paul that he was the one who won the money, Paul takes every opportunity to blame Ramses for these actions. The majority of the house seems content to put Jessica and Ramses on the block if they win the next HoH.

Things may have started to turn around for Ramses on Tuesday night, however. He had a conversation with Alex and Jason where he seemed to convince them that it was actually Kevin who flipped on Jillian and not him. Ramses offered a fairly accurate picture of the house, telling them that Kevin and Josh are obviously trying to work with the big alliance in the house (Paul and his groupies), and that they need to stick together and take a shot at them.

Alex is concerned because she doesn’t have the numbers, so Ramses tried to convince her that taking him out isn’t going to help get them any numbers. The common wisdom in the house right now is to go along with whatever the majority wants until you get to jury, then hope that the big alliance starts to break up and turn on each other.

Ramses doesn’t want that because he knows he’s a big target for the house right now. And history has told us that if you wait too long to make a move, then you become Nicole and Donny on Season 16.

Going into Week 3, Ramses is going to need to win HoH, or hope that Alex or Jason win it (and maybe Jessica or Kevin). But if any of the other seven HGs win the next HoH, Ramses is probably going on the block next to Jessica and could easily be the next person evicted.

  1. Paul is the only one who even makes this season watchable so far! 4 “Showmances” in the first week? How stupid! It’s like none of these people have even watched BB before. Hope it gets more interesting soon!

    1. True, but I still think it was in his best interest to play to win. It would have been super interesting if he had won to see how he handled it.

  2. Paul is shady as all get out and they do need to boot him but I don’t think Ramses can form a strong enough alliance to get rid of him.

  3. If I were Ramses, I wouldn’t have thrown the comp either. The major players have kept him out of the loop until they needed him, so it’s no surprise he doesn’t trust them. Everyone knows pawns go home and anything can happen. In his position, the best thing he could have done was won the comp, then used that as leverage to get himself into a better position in the house.

  4. I think he’s irksome AF. I think he thinks he has more pull than he does and I don’t see him hanging around very long unless he pulls a major move. That shit he did last night where he pretended to throw the mission but knew he wasn’t going to was lame.
I fully don’t get why he would tell his momma he wouldn’t throw a mission. This is the first season of this show I have ever watched and I know that’s an idiotic move.

  5. I love Ramses. He’s so funny!!! They need to get Paul out ASAP!!!! He is a scheming, conniving, a-hole! I dont like him one bit!
