‘Vanderpump Rules’ Stars Brittany Cartwright & Jax Taylor Are Engaged: Get Proposal & Ring Details!

“And, just to be clear, you do understand that marriage is supposed to be forever, right? Jax….?”
There’s a Vanderpump Rules wedding in the works!

Brittany Cartwright excitedly announced on Thursday night that she and boyfriend Jax Taylor are officially engaged.

In a series of photos posted to Instagram, Brittany showed off her gorgeous engagement ring and gushed about Jax’s proposal, which took place at Neptune’s Net in Malibu, California.

“Omg omg!!!!!!!! We are ENGAGED!” Brittany wrote in the caption of the photos Instagram. “What a way to start our summer and season 7!! I am so happy, so in love, and so beyond excited for this next chapter of our lives! I can’t wait for all of you to see how he proposed! I am the happiest girl ever right now. ?? love can win”

She also thanked the ring’s designer, Kyle Chan, calling the ring “gorgeous.” He later posted a close-up video of the drool-worthy engagement ring.

Some ‘Vanderpump Rules’ fans suspected that Brittany knew about the proposal, as she was shown on her Instagram story getting her hair and makeup professionally done for “date night” earlier on Thursday.

Jax also posted about the proposal and raved about the engagement ring.

“She said yes!!! I can’t wait for y’all to see how this happened next season!” Jax wrote on Instagram. “I am marrying the woman of my dreams and I could not be happier!! make sure y’all tune in season 7 to see how this unfolded. (Swipe left) my amazing friend/brother @kylechandesign knocked it out of the park on this ring. I told him a few details but I trusted him and as you can see he came through above and beyond. When I decided to do this he was the only one I wanted to design Brittany’s ring and this is why.. flawless Kyle absolutely flawless. Also thank you Margaret owner of @Neptunesnet for allowing me to make this special day possible at one of our favorite spots to eat in Malibu.”

Brittany and Jax’s relationship has been quite the rollercoaster ride since they began dating in 2015. During the show’s recent sixth season, Jax broke up with Brittany (in addition to admitting to cheating on her with Faith Stowers.)

Obviously, the breakup (which happened in August 2017) was short-lived, and Brittany and Jax have been together ever since.

“I realized later that @BNCartwright is my angel and she makes me want to be a better man,” Jax tweeted in April. “We are in a great place now the best we have ever been, but it takes work, just know that I am working hard and thank you to all who watch.”

The engagement will surely be featured on the next season. However, at press time, Bravo had yet to release a Season 7 premiere date.

Congrats @mrjaxtaylor and @brittany on your engagement!

  1. Sorry, but she actually had her hair & makeup “professionally” done? Really? Shes looked better before. And, yeah…..this marriage wont last! Jax is an ass. Hes not changed. At all.

  2. please idiot go ahead marry a cheater a multiple cheater he won’t do it again. As for the ring it maybe be big but that is not a clear or flawless stone. Smaller is better I’d rather have quality over size

  3. At the reunion, Brittany says she chooses not to be cynical/negative because those people get tumors. Well, okay…but if we’re going by her logic, positive people (her mom, who she used as her example) get married four times, soooooo…..

  4. I adore Brittany and I reallllly hope he has changed like he claims to have but, let be real – this IS Jax.

  5. What a great way to start season 7….really? Isn’t that what every girl says after getting engaged?

  6. He has shown her exactly the type of person he is yet she just ignores it over and over again.

If he can’t be a decent and faithful boyfriend, a pretty ring certainly isn’t going to transform him into a decent and faithful husband.
