A&E Announces ‘Duck Dynasty: The Revival’ Will Premiere Next Month: Get Details on the New Show

It’s showtime!

A&E announced this week that Duck Dynasty: The Revival will premiere next month, eight years after the original Duck Dynasty series ended its 11-season run.

As The Ashley previously told you, former ‘Duck Dynasty’ star Willie Robertson revealed in December that he and his family were “getting back in production” for a reboot that he described as “the next generation of ‘Duck Dynasty.’” The following month, A&E confirmed that ‘Duck Dynasty: The Revival’ would be premiering later this year.

According to Deadline, ‘Duck Dynasty: The Revival’ will begin airing next month and will follow Willie and wife Korie Robertson and the next generation of Robertsons as they carry on the family’s legacy at their Louisiana homestead. As the family’s Duck Commander business expands beyond ducks, Willie and Korie will explore the future of the family’s brand, while also supporting their children through milestones like marriage, parenthood and entrepreneurship.

Fans of the original ‘Duck Dynasty’ can look forward to catching up with Willie and Korie, along with their adult children John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella and Rebecca. Willie’s mom, Miss Kay, is also slated to return in the new series, as well as Uncle Si and other beloved members of the Robertson family.

As The Ashley told you earlier this month, Willie’s brother Jase Robertson recently opened up on the family’s podcast about their parents Miss Kay and Phil Robertson’s declining health, just months after he revealed that Phil– who shares sons Jase, Willie, Alan and Jep with Miss Kay– was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Jase had also noted on the podcast that his father was suffering from “some sort of blood disease.”

Despite his father having a great team of medical caregivers, Jase shared with listeners this month that Phil has shown no improvement over the last few months. He also revealed during the episode that Miss Kay’s health was on the “upswing” after she suffered a fall back in February.

“ … it’s been a lot better this past week, because she was really not doing good,” Jase said. “She got an infection from a fall, from a cut that had happened earlier.”

Jase described his mom’s injury as “severe,” revealing that she currently remains in the hospital where she’s undergoing “more rehab, physically.” While Miss Kay’s health is improving, Jase said that for a while, he and his family were fearing the worst for the Robertson matriarch.

“We were kind of dealing with the fact that maybe this is it,” he said. “That’s what it seemed like in the moment. It seemed close, so it was difficult.”

While Miss Kay is slated to return to TV for ‘Duck Dynasty: The Revival,’ it’s unknown if her recent health issues will be documented on the new show, or if she is still planning to appear on the series at all.

Meanwhile, Phil was never slated to appear on the reboot, presumably due to his declining health.

‘Duck Dynasty: The Revival’ premieres May 28 on A&E.
