Trigger Warning: This story contains mentions of child and animal abuse.

Jon Gosselin is issuing a stern warning to his ex-wife Kate about the upcoming Netflix documentary he’s participating in about their family and the information he might reveal that he says would “bury [her] forever.”

The former ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ star fired off at his ex on the latest episode of the ‘Legally Goff’ podcast, just weeks after Netflix revealed that Jon and two of his children, Collin and Hannah, will be featured in a documentary that dives into their family’s experience on reality TV and beyond.

The project was announced less than a month after the release of Collin’s memoir, In The Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood, which details the alleged abuse the 22-year-old suffered as a child at the hands of his now-estranged mom. (Kate continues to deny Collin’s claims.)

While the official title and release date for the Gosselin Family documentary have not been announced, Jon suggested this week that his ex-wife should be very concerned about the information that may be revealed in the project.

“ … I know you’re a narcissist, I know you don’t care, but what I know and I might give to Netflix will bury you forever,” Jon said.

During the episode, Jon also came to Collin’s defense in response to Kate’s recent claims that their son exhibited violent behavior as a child and allegedly murdered nine birds at the age of 11 “for fun.” (Collin denied this allegation himself last week on social media.)

Jon argued that Collin actually has a history of being nurturing towards animals, claiming that he once fostered a cat that he found on the side of the road. As to why Kate made these claims about Collin, Jon insisted that his ex was “projecting.”

“ … I know things about Kate and her childhood,” Jon said. “And I’m kind of saving that for Netflix … but there’s a lot that she said that is projecting from her childhood, because I feel like Collin put her in her place and now she’s projecting [from] her childhood [and] the abuse she received in her childhood.”

Jon didn’t expound on the information he claims to be “saving” for Netflix, nor did he go into detail about the alleged abuse Kate experienced as a child. He did, however, remind listeners that he used to be best friends with Kate’s brother and that the two “still talk” to one another, suggesting that he’s privy to certain events that happened in Kate’s life.

Later in the episode, Jon confirmed that Kate has not reached out to Collin since the release of his book, while taking issue with her decision to engage in comments on TikTok about their son and his alleged behavior.

As for Kate’s alleged behavior, Jon argued that his ex-wife should be behind bars for what she did to their son, even going as far as to compare the mom of eight to Ruby Franke, a former Mormon family vlogger who was sentenced to prison in 2024 for aggravated child abuse against her own children.

Jon
“That’s right, Kate…I’m going there!”

“[Collin] was abused and the abuser still walks free and that’s awful,” he said. “Ruby Franke did less than what Collin [has alleged] in his book, and she went to jail for a long time. She just got sentenced. What, 30 years? Four counts of aggravated assault on a minor.

“It’s like, what is wrong with this world?” Jon continued. “Why is it different for celebrities?”
