Tamron Hall Says She Was Fired from Hosting ‘Sister Wives’ Tell-Alls Because Certain Members of Brown Family Were Mad She Asked “Tough” Questions

“If they thought THOSE questions were tough, they should’ve heard the ones that I WASN’T allowed to ask…”

Sister Wives star Meri Brown was a guest on the Tamron Hall Show this week, during which host Tamron Hall reminded viewers that she used to host the Tell Alls for the TLC series, before revealing that she lost the gig after “certain” members of the Brown family were upset that she asked them questions that were “too tough.”

Before welcoming Meri onto the stage, Tamron told her audience that she hosted the end-of-season ‘Sister Wives’ “Tell-All” episodes– during which she sat down with Meri, Kody, RobynChristine and Janelle– for four years before she was given the boot, thanks to complaints from some of the Brown adults.
“I, like millions of viewers, watched the family grow and change over time,” Tamron said of the Browns. “Kody took a fourth wife, Robyn, children were adopted and born and then came the 18th child, and as we watched, they fought to try to overturn even Utah’s plural marriage laws … We also witnessed the family fall apart.”

“Don’t REMIND me!”

Tamron then explained why she stopped hosting the Tell-Alls with the Brown family.

“ … I will be honest with you, I was told not to come back because some people thought that the questions were too tough that I was asking,” Tamron revealed.

Gee…who could those “people” be….?

Although Tamron didn’t call out the “people” by name, she did show a clip from one of the Tell-Alls, during which she questioned if Kody legally marrying Robyn made them feel that he had “legitimized one wife” over the others.

Tamron had warned the family beforehand that it was possible that her question “would offend” them. After it was asked, Robyn told Tamron she was, in fact, offended.

“Is this the part where you two tell me I’m not a ‘safe’ person to be around?”

(Tamron didn’t confirm that this was the moment that caused her to lose the hosting gig.)

Although Tamron hosted the Tell-Alls from 2013 to 2017, she admitted to viewers on Wednesday that she didn’t even want the job at first, saying she only accepted it for the money.

“ … I am being very honest with you to tell you that initially, I did not want to host that show,” she said. “I was asked to do it and at the time I said, ‘It’s a check. Done!’”

“Thankfully I got out of there without getting a knife in the kidneys.”

Tamron said that after getting to know the Brown family through the Tell-Alls, she had– and continues to have– “a lot of respect for Meri,” and was very excited for the opportunity to catch up with her after so many years.

After Meri sashayed out onto the stage, Tamron confessed that she was “really hurt” when she was let go from her ‘Sister Wives’ Tell-All gig. Meri then confirmed that some members of the Brown family were, indeed, unhappy with Tamron’s bold questions.

“I always felt like I had a really cool connection with you and I never had any issues with you,” Meri said.

“You’re blaming the other wives?” Tamron joked.

“Oh, 100 percent!” Meri responded.

“Ohhhh I think she means me, huh?”

Meri then doubled down on her support of Tamron.

“I know that there are people in the family who struggled with your wanting to hold them accountable, which is why they didn’t [want you to host anymore].” Meri said. “But that’s what you do! You hold people accountable, and when people don’t want to be held accountable, they kick you out of the club.”

If this is the “club,” count me out…

Meri then confirmed that Kody was one of the Brown family members who wasn’t too fond of Tamron as host.

“Full disclosure, I don’t think [Kody] is a fan of mine,” said Tamron. “And I’m OK with that.”

“I don’t think he is either,” Meri said with a smile. “You hold people accountable, and some people don’t want to be.”

In the years since Tamron was fired, Sukanya “Suki” Krishnan has filled the role of host, much to many fans’ dismay. The show’s viewers have been very vocal on social media that Suki often fails to ask hard questions and/or hold the Browns accountable for their on-screen actions.

After a clip of the upcoming ‘Sister Wives’ Tell-All episode— which features Suki as host— was posted to the official ‘Sister Wives’ Facebook page, fans sounded off in the comment section about wanting a host who actually asks tough questions.

“Why did they bring Suki back?” one person wrote.

“She’s the worst!” someone else commented.

“She is the worst interviewer ever,” another wrote.

New episodes of ‘Sister Wives’ begin airing this Sunday on TLC.

  1. The hosts cannot ask whatever questions they want. They have a set of questions given to them by the producers

  2. Kody Brown and his wife Robyn mistreated the other wives like shit. I have no respect for Kody and Robyn using the other’s wives money . Kody and Robyn enjoy your time on the show. What you did and acting at the memorial for Garrison. Janelle is my favorite wife.

Janelle as a mother myself and I couldn’t pretend to know what it’s like to lost a child.
You. You are a shining example of a mother

  3. Oh please. She is a terrible host. She is not familiar with the guests most of the time and allllllllllll of the questions are written by production clearly. She is only there because a live feed of reddit AMA is not for sale lol. The only host worse is Shaun Robinson Pete. Beautiful but has zero familiarity with the shows or guests. Both rely on yellow gotcha journalism and production to have a job. I have stopped watching many of the followups due to these two idiots. There are legions of youtubers that could ask better questions and are actually familiar with the material and blush actually have a following fanbase. I have yet to meet another reality fan that is pleased with their tell alls. Fresh blood would be great. Get rid of Cohen’s cokehead where’s the baby arse as well.

  4. “You hold people accountable, and when people don’t want to be held accountable, they kick you out of the club.”

Gee, who does that sound like?

  5. The tell all is meaningless unless the adults are in the same room and able to react to each other. However, Suki sucks in any format.

    1. They make enough money to be held accountable. Ask the hard questions. They don’t want to answer those questions? Then dock their paycheck.

  6. Kootie’s the reason why some refer to these as Tell Nothings. He gets pissy when he doesn’t want to answer and can’t think of a plausible lie. He reminds me of a certain individual that wears orange makeup. Yuck!

I liked both Tamron Hall and Natalie Morales. Sorry, but Suki sucks as a host.

    1. Humm…I “certain” members of the Clan of Coyote Pass thought the tell all questions were “too tough”. Now who could they be?! Maybe they’re a contemptible raging narcissist? Or, an emotionally unstable person with a victim complex? It’s a mystery.

      1. Yeah I don’t know it’s just so confusing, like how do you even figure that out. Or is it weird, those are her favorite things to say.
