Barry Plath is moving on out!
On Monday, the Welcome to Plathville officially listed the Cairo, Georgia, home he’s been residing in with some of his children up for sale. The massive, five-bedroom, six-bathroom home was purchased by Barry and his then-wife Kim during the second season of ‘Welcome to Plathville,’ and Barry has continued to live there with some of the Plath kids even after he split from Kim.
The house— which Ma and Pa Plath bought for $340,000 in December 2019— is described in its real estate listing as “truly remarkable and one of a kind.” The listing boasts “a sunny family room with floor-to-ceiling glass windows,” a library, copper gutters and a bedroom that could function as a mother-in-law suite.

While the listing notes some of the house’s unique features— including “stunning millwork” and “teak parquet floors”— a few of the photos used to show the various rooms in the home are…interesting.
In one photo of a bedroom, a crossbow is displayed on the wall…directly above two handguns just casually chilling on the nightstand.

(According to comments made on Reddit by Micah Plath‘s ex-girlfriend, Veronica Peters, the heavily armed room belongs to Isaac Plath who reportedly beat his brother Micah up after Lydia Plath‘s wedding in February.)
Veronica also stated on Reddit that most of the home’s bathrooms “don’t work” that the upstairs bathroom has “mold.” Although there’s no mention of any broken bathrooms in the listing, photos of some of the bathrooms do reveal dirt– and possibly mold— around some of the bathroom features.

“I also wouldn’t stay in that place. There is massive roof failure primarily by the stairs, the pantry room ceiling is rotten,” Veronica claimed.

Wanna look in Barry’s closet? Of course you do!
The Plath Palace is currently priced at $649,000, which will garner the Plaths a cool $309,000 in profit if they manage to sell the home at its list price. It sits on 3.8 acres and was built in 1963.
As ‘Welcome to Plathville’ fans know, Barry and Kim moved their family to this home after completing the first season of their show. Before that, they were residing in a farmhouse located in Whigham, Georgia.
As of press time, the Cairo, Georgia, home is still up for sale.

I’d take that house any day over the cheap crap that people are paying the same for (or even more) and getting floors that aren’t even wood, a postage stamp sized lot, and cheap construction that probably won’t last 50 years. Even if their house needs some work or updating, you’re still getting far more bang for your buck.
That’s a high price if there is mold and other things. He probably doesn’t have the means to keep paying the mortgage. Veronica needs to stay in her lane, because she wouldn’t like it if they spoke bad things about her. Let them live their lives. You are not associated with the family anymore, so why all of a sudden do you feel the need to make statements like that?
And you’re here for purely altruistic reasons…
My gut tells me some weird shit went on in that house. 😵💫
It really does give off mild Amityville Horror vibes 😬
