Jax Taylor is saying another goodbye.
Less than two weeks after announcing he was “stepping away” from The Valley, Jax shared on social media Sunday that he’s also leaving his bar in Studio City, California.
“I’ve made the decision to end my partnership with Jax’s,” he wrote in an Instagram Story. “It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one. Right now, my focus is on my sobriety and mental health, and staying connected to my bar is no longer in line with the priorities I’ve set for myself and the life I’m working towards.”
Heavily featured on both seasons of ‘The Valley,’ Jax’s opened in October 2023 as a themed extension of Rocco’s Tavern. This season, Jax wore the bar’s merchandise almost exclusively, including in his self-taped confessionals in rehab. Content creator Elizabeth Potolsky spoofed the branding in a Reel that’s gotten more than 200,000 views.
Currently no merchandise is for sale on the online store for Jax’s Studio City. This season on ‘The Valley Aftershow’ it was revealed that Jax has an eBay store, so maybe some Jax’s items will appear there.
In the less than two years the bar’s been opened, it’s been the site of many low moments, both off-screen and on. Last summer, the bar was investigated by the health department after multiple customer complaints and the posting of a video by ‘The Valley’ cast member Jasmine Goode showing Jax and then-wife Brittany Cartwright changing their son’s diaper on the bartop, as The Ashley reported.
On ‘The Valley,’ Danny Booko has had many “darkside” moments at the bar, including inappropriately touching Jasmine and her girlfriend Melissa Marie during a Halloween party there. Jax has also claimed on the show that Danny’s been kicked out of the bar before due to his drunken behavior.
Jax has also been accused of committing some unsavory acts while at the bar.
“I have heard from numerous sources that Jax has slept with some of his staff, allegedly, and Brittany even knows about it,” Danny said in a confessional on last week’s season finale. “I don’t think anybody that owns a business should be sleeping with your employee who you write the checks for.”
It’s unlikely that Jax was writing any checks. Despite repeatedly referring to the establishment as his bar, Jax also said on ‘The Valley’ that he put no money into the venture, as content creator Christina Cocca described in her reaction post to the news about the end of Jax’s.
“breaking news jax taylor who NEVER OWNED A BAR says he is stepping away from NOT OWNING A BAR,” she wrote.
Jax has stepped away from plenty in recent months. He left the podcast he co-hosted with Brittany, When Reality Hits, and launched his own, In the Mind of Jax Taylor. He was set to go on tour with the podcast, but cancelled it in June due to fan backlash against his dangerous behavior toward his estranged wife and also took a social media hiatus, as The Ashley reported. He also “left” ‘The Valley’ earlier this month.

Prediction: Jax will hire a PR crew to rehab his image (sort of like Tiger Woods did years ago), then Bravo will put him back on the show.
That’s if the show even lasts past this season. Personally, I’m getting sick of seeing this group attend various events in stupid costumes. That seems to be the format of almost every episode.
He’s such a dick head. So glad his shitty had is closed. Hopefully he’ll go away permanently now.
