Jenelle Evans better put on her “more classier” court heels— and hoof it to the bank!
The Ashley recently released details from the fired Teen Mom star’s divorce settlement with ex-husband David Eason, revealing who got what in the couple’s court battle for their martial assents, including their North Carolina home on The Land. Now, The Ashley can reveal even more details regarding the financial decisions made during the couple’s mediation session earlier this month. The judge officially signed off on the couple’s mediation agreement on August 10.
As The Ashley reported, Jenelle was awarded the house and The Land that it’s on, while David received several parcels of surrounding land that was purchased by the couple. (For a whole list of items given to each party, click here.)
The Ashley can also reveal that Jenelle has been assigned to take on the couple’s giant tax lien!
According to court paperwork obtained by The Ashley, Jenelle is now solely responsible for paying off the tax lien and debt that she and David owed to the North Carolina Department of Revenue, which currently sits at $40,000.
Jenelle is also responsible for paying what’s left on the mortgage for The Land, which is $138,920.
The house and The Land awarded to Jenelle is valued at $388,000, while the plots of land given to David are estimated to be worth $95,000. David was awarded the bulk majority of the couple’s “stuff” (i.e. vehicles, electric toys, tools, etc.), bringing the value of assets he received to just under $200,000. Jenelle’s share (including the value of the home) amounted to just over $439,000.
Because Jenelle’s share is larger than David’s, she is also now required to make monthly payments to him. That cash is to equalize the division to 50/50. North Carolina is not a 50/50 state in regard to divorce asset distribution. Instead, it follows the principle of equitable distribution, which means the judge can award an unequal distribution of marital assets if deemed fair. Jenelle and David settled via mediation, though.
The Ashley can reveal that Jenelle now owes David $33,450.52 in cash, with the payments to be sent to David’s lawyer each month until it is paid up.
“Wife shall pay to Husband a distributional payment in the amount of$33,450.52,” the court docs obtained by The Ashley read. “Wife shall pay Husband within seven (7) months of the execution of this Consent Order. Beginning August 1, 2025, Wife shall pay a monthly installment of no less than $4,778.65 until paid.
Jenelle’s payments are to be sent to the office of David’s lawyer, so it does not appear that they will have to interact to exchange the funds.
Another interesting thing to note is that David was awarded the bulk majority of the Eason gun collection. However, because Jenelle has an active restraining order against him, he is not supposed to have firearms. Oddly, he has been ordered to give up all of the ammunition for the guns.
“Ammunition for all guns awarded to Husband in the Consent Order to be surrendered to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office,” the court paperwork reads.

So he had a better lawyer or he just had cards he played to get so much? Didn’t Jenelle say she had text messages/photos/proof that Eason was a danger to children…I mean she all but came right out and said inappropriate images… yet she as a single mother and breadwinner of marriage lost her ass in mediation? LOL
I hope he is able to get all of that money until everything is collected! Then upon the final collection is sent to jail for quite a while! Win win on both ends!

I enjoy him raking her over financially bc she deserves a consequence for entertaining a person like him.
She’s never had a real consequence before, ever, so paying him out the ass would be a good one.
The only ones who DON’T deserve to suffer because of this mess DeluJanelle and Sasquatch caused, are the kids…and they will continue to suffer the most.
I don’t think this judge knows what they are doing. If David can’t have guns or ammo why not just give Janelle the ammo instead of giving it to the courts?
Legally, he can own both at this point. He hasn’t been convicted of a felony. If he is convicted in the case he has regarding the charges of strangling Jace, he will no longer be able to possess firearms.
you know what? good! it’s what jenelle deserves for choosing to stay with a man who didn’t contribute financially in any way and allowed him to play babysitter instead because she was too lazy to parent her own kids but of course that’s not gonna stop her from finding a way to trash him online every chance she gets either, now hopefully he gets all of that revoked when they find him guilty at the criminal trial for what he did to jace!
I’m going to predict the future here and say very soon there will be an article about Janelle not paying David the $33,450. Perhaps she agreed because she never had any intention of paying. What’s David gunna do? Take her to court?! This Bitch lives at court, she’s the mayor of court cases and never had any real consequences.
If she fails to adhere to a court ordered payment plan, the court could find her in contempt and sentence her to jail. They could also levy additional fees/fines on her. I’d love to see how she’ll weasel her way out of this whole thing
I’m sure us normals would be in jail or face serious financial harm for failing to comply with a court order. But Jenelle has been in trouble with the law since 16 and she’s never spent more than a night in jail. She pays a lawyer to get her out of things. I just really can’t see Janelle cutting a monthly check of seven grand to someone she hates. That money is probably already spent on pot and soul mate # 6.
Jenelle really caved big time and gave up way more than she should have to David. I guess we will never know if it was so she could be rid of him quicker, or if she was afraid of all of the dirt he has to sell to the tabloids.
Good thing that David has had The Bank of Kenleigh to fall back on, but it’s time for him to pay child support for his kids! Hopefully, Kenleigh will insist that he uses his own money from his “I married and divorced a Teen Mom” windfall, instead of continuing to give him money. Maybe she will even finally get to post photos of gifts that he actually paid for with his own debit card instead of hers!
It’s also way past time for David to pay the proverbial piper, by landing in jail as a felon for what he did to Jace. My prediction is that David will get Kenleigh pregnant before he goes in, to make sure to increase the chances that she won’t move on while he is away.

David can likely no longer be considered indigent, and if so, he likely no longer qualifies for a public defender with the pending charges for assaulting Jace. So Janelle’s money will go to David’s lawyer.
If David loses, goes to prison and is a felon who can no longer possess firearms (please higher powers let that happen!) then all will be right with the world. Janelle will be teetering towards being broke, justice for Jace, and David won’t have much money left because it went to lawyers.
But as always, the kids will lose. The only disadvantage they didn’t have to deal with up to this point was poverty. They’ve had their share of trauma otherwise.
How much does she get a month for child support from him for ensley?
Whatever the judge decides about custody (seperate case) and child support UBT might have to pay, the amount will be zero soon.
He will say he doesn’t have a job or money. When he gets any kind of parenting time, he will try to make her pay child support.
Will be interesting when they both have to pay for flights and stay for visitation, just like Amber and Andrew have to. David will have lots of excuses.
