Sister Wives is back for a new season that is promising to be “more emotionally raw than ever.”
TLC released the Season 20 trailer on Thursday, giving fans a first look at what’s in store for the formerly plural Brown family, beginning with Meri Brown, who officially called it quits from husband Kody Brown in early 2023.
In the upcoming season, viewers will watch Meri dip her toe into the dating pool by participating in a speed dating event where she makes a potential connection with a man named Ron, who appears quite interested in the wet-bar enthusiast.
While Meri seeks out a new romantic partner, Kody’s ex-wife Christine Brown will– for some unknown reason– attempt to form a friendship between Kody and her new husband, David Woolley.
“You and Kody could hang out,” Christine suggests to David, who responds with a firm, “No.”
Despite David’s unwillingness to pal around with his wife’s ex-husband– injured kidney and all– the trailer goes on to show David and Kody sporting matching helmets (and nearly matching outfits) during an outing at the racetrack together.
As Christine forces a friendship between her favorite and least favorite men, Kody’s ex-wife Janelle Brown reveals to Meri that she’s ready to put even more distance between herself and their sparsely haired ex.
“We talked about the spiritual divorce and I think I’m ready,” Janelle says to Meri, who obtained her own spiritual divorce from Kody last season.
“I love that you’re doing this, Janelle,” Meri says to her former sister wife.
The upcoming season of ‘Sister Wives’ will also show Kody and his only wife Robyn Brown deciding whether they want to continue living in monogamy, or if they want to consider adding another wife to the mix. In the trailer, Kody lies claims that there is at least one woman who may actually be interested in filling the position.
“I got another one of those emails from some woman asking sort of like, to get to know us for the purpose of joining the family,” Kody tells a visibly shocked Robyn.
While ‘Sister Wives’ fans already know that the Brown family managed to (finally) unload their seemingly cursed Coyote Pass property in April, the upcoming season will show the moments leading up to the sale, including the discourse– and distrust– that took place behind the scenes.
“This is bulls**t,” Robyn tells viewers in the trailer. “I’m not selling this land until everything is perfectly fair and we do this the right way. Sorry!”
“It’s a standoff at Coyote Pass. [The] final show down,” Janelle predicts, as she and Meri head to the property to speak to Kody and Robyn face to face.
It also appears that Season 20 will be a continuation of Kody’s poor excuse of an apology tour– one that will hopefully go better than his first attempt in Season 19.
“I would love healing with Meri, I would love healing with Janelle, I would love healing with Christine,” Kody tells viewers.
Unfortunately for the least-likely candidate for Father of the Year, not everyone is on board with his “healing” era.
“I don’t want to talk to Kody ever again,” Christine tells David. Later in the trailer; however, Kody and Christine meet up for a meal and some possible friendship mending.
“I wanted to apologize with all my heart,” Kody tells Christine. “I said I didn’t love you. That wasn’t true.”
The trailer also shows Meri’s BFF Jenn Sullivan begging Meri to realize that Kody’s “an a**,” and Kody’s estranged daughter Maddie Brown listening as her mom Janelle tells her that the curly headed one “wants to see me.” While Janelle maintains that she and Kody will “never be friends,” Kody is determined to change her mind and attempts to do by reciting the exact same apology to her– word for word– that he did to Christine.
As for Meri, she also agrees to a one-on-one conversation with her ex, though Kody makes it very clear to her that he has no intention of the two of them reconciling a romantic relationship.
“We are never, ever, ever getting back together,” Taylor Swift Meri agrees.
In true ‘Sister Wives’ fashion, viewers can also expect to see Kody fawning obsessively over his “shy” and “pretty” wife in the new season.
“Listen, I have this wife,” Kody says in the trailer. “Her name is Robyn and she would never let me do anything naughty, as bad as I want to do it.”

Christine has really lost her mind. She never wants to speak to Kody again yet she suggests her new husband and Kody should hang out together as friends! Keep it up Christine and you may just get a real divorce!As for Kody and his so called apologies to Christine, Meri and Janelle…surely he jests?! And his pretty and shy wife? Give me a break. Pretty? Hell no. Shy? surely you jest?! I for one would love to see another woman worm her way into Kody and Robyn’s life. Robyn wanted to grow old with her sister wives…what a crock. Let her find out how it is not to be the #1 wife. Now that would be entertaining!
I think it’s all going to be hilariously entertaining. What a crew. All of them. Christine may well be the nuttiest of them all.
Well it looks like there is more happening in this season then in previous ones, i think production was willing to pull the plug unless they decided to start filming together again!! And lets be honest they all need the money for the lifestyles and all those babies!

I wouldn’t be surprised if Kody wanted a one sided singers l8festyle with Robyn while she stays home and takes care of his kids
I feel that zKody would be happy in an open marriage where he could go out and bed any woman he wants but Robyn woul have to stay hope, collect cobwebs and take care of her kids
Robyn and “perfectly fair” sound like an oxymoron to me.
Who is still watching these people?!

Oh how the tables have turned on Robby. I’m here for that human vomit burp Kody trading her in for a younger version. They both seemed to believed that karma wouldn’t catch up to them.
