Scheana Shay is being called out for (ironically) not showing her good side amid her ongoing feud with friend and former Vanderpump Rules castmate Lala Kent.
On the latest episode of Lala’s Untraditionally Lala podcast (formerly Give Them Lala), Lala confirmed to listeners that her friendship with Scheana remains “in a very strange place,” with Lala admitting that she’s “very disappointed” in the way her friend has gone about certain things as of late– particularly, the way Scheana reacted to the way certain people promoted her memoir, My Good Side, which was released earlier this year.
Lala stated that she was a good friend to Scheana privately, something she says is not what Scheana prefers.

“ … she said it put friendships into perspective based on who posted her book,” Lala explained. “She didn’t talk about the times that I’ve sat in a car and cried with her about the situations that she wrote in her book. She didn’t talk about the message that I sent to her about how f**king proud I am of her that she wrote this book, put her heart out there and made it to The New York Times Best-Sellers List– that is not easy. But because none of that was public, it’s not good enough for her.”
As The Ashley previously told you, Scheana called out Lala on an August episode of her Scheananigans podcast for failing to promote My Good Side until a week after the book hit shelves. When asked about the rumored feud weeks ago on Amazon Live, Lala downplayed the situation, telling fans that she would let “Scheana Scheana”– a response that Scheana later admitted she “really didn’t like.”

While attending Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea Awards earlier this month, Scheana went on to accuse Lala of making “subtle digs” and not “taking accountability” for the reason “Scheana is Scheana-ing at the moment.”
During Monday’s podcast, Lala told listeners that she’s had to do “a lot of soul-searching” over the past two years, which required her to own her actions and avoid placing blame on others, even when she wanted to. Lala noted that her friendship with Scheana has also “come a long way” in those two years; however, she said she finds herself wanting to “shake [Scheana] at times” for not focusing on the good things in her life.
“ … I wanna shake her because it’s like, you have a husband who’s absolutely wonderful– he may not have done wonderful things, but he has made massive changes for you and that’s a beautiful thing and you chose to stick with him,” Lala said, referring to Scheana’s husband, Brock Davies, and the affair Brock had in 2021, which Scheana wrote about in her book.
“That is absolutely incredible and wonderful. You have a beautiful, healthy little girl, you’ve got both your parents, your sister’s cool as f**k. What are you so mad about all the time?” Lala added.
“Your book hit the biggest f**king list that a book can possibly hit. You’ve got a fantastic podcast. Why do you continue to try to scrape at the bottom of the barrel to find the s**t?” Lala continued. “I want her to take a moment to self-reflect and figure out what makes her tick and what keeps her happy– genuinely happy. This is all gonna fade, there’s gonna be a day, y’all, where no television show exists, the podcasts are over, the brand deals are done, no one gives a f**k about Instagram. What do you want? When it’s all over, how do you want your life to be?”
Lala went on to say that while she and Scheana have both “f**ked up in the past,” she doesn’t point out every “f**k up” to Scheana, because she knows Scheana is a good person and she believes Scheana should know the same about her. The mom of two also argued that the fact that she chose to buy a house in Palm Springs next door to Scheana’s only proves how much she values their friendship, while insisting that the two of them should’ve worked out their issues privately.
“ … my friendship to you should not be based off if I posted your book in the proper timeline,” Lala said. “You’re setting me up for failure every time. And let me be very clear, y’all, I posted the book. The book was posted, she’s upset that I didn’t post it in the proper timeline. I am not a robot. You don’t click in what you need from me. I’m a person with a life.”

Lala reminded listeners that in addition to posting about Scheana’s book after she received a copy of it, she had also posted to social media when My Good Side was available for pre-order.
“But nothing I do or anyone else does will ever be good enough,” she added.

No one was talking about their “feud” so she had to. They both need that Valley paycheque
Schwann is one of the most EXHAUSTING person ever, I can’t imagine trying to maintain a friendship with someone so self centered and transactional. I mean not I’m not really Lala’s biggest fan either, her ridiculousness in acting like she from the streets not …Utah.
Lala screams producer plant, but she is not wrong on this.
This drama is totally contrived. Does everyone remember when Scheana Shay said that she and Lala Kent staged a fight in the Season 9 finale of Vanderpump Rules because they were worried about the show getting cancelled and wanted to create more drama. They are doing this to secure their roles on the valley. How low will you go you two?
Lala has a point…a lot of points actually. Scheana needs to stop making everyone else pay for her anxiety and self-esteem issues. It makes her seem like Chicken Little with the sky falling. That can’t be a particularly fun existence for her. I know she got mental health help in the past. I hope she gets some more. I agree with Lala. She needs to work on seeing the good in her life. It won’t always be this good.
As much as this pains me to say, in this particular instance, Lala is right. It’s weird to judge a friendship on the grounds of if they posted something on your arbitrary deadline. Scheana reminds me of the girl that will actually look to see if someone liked your post in a certain amount of time.
Besides… I’m not sure I believe it’s about what scheana said. Didn’t one of them get on the valley but not the other? I bet that’s scheanas real problem. She’s salty Lala is on the show and she’s not, when scheana is the one that was there before her
