Kathryn Dennis will be staying in a less-than-charming place for the next 30 days: county jail!
The fired Southern Charm star checked into the Berkeley County Jail in South Carolina on Friday night, after a judge sentenced her to 30 days in the clink as punishment for her (very memorable) 2024 DUI arrest.
Kathryn’s convictions include one count of DUI- 1st offense, and one count of transporting alcohol with its seal broken in a motor vehicle. She is due to be sprung from the big house on November 2.

As The Ashley previously reported, Kathryn was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and driving with an open container of alcohol in May 2024. The arrest became even more memorable when some wild dashcam footage from the squad car went public, showing Kathryn accusing the cops of “ruining her life” and treating her “like an animal,” among other things.
The arrest came after Kat was involved in a three-car crash. Officers at the scene wrote in the police report that Kathryn smelled like alcohol and had “glossy eyes.” According to the police incident report, Kathryn’s dog was present in the car when officers searched it…as were several empty bottles of liquor.
“I conducted a search of her brown dog bag and located several mini bottles of Fireball, some of which were open and empty,” the report states, adding that Kathryn was holding her dog as she was being checked out by paramedics after the car crash. “While standing near Ms. Dennis, I could smell an odor consistent with the odor of alcoholic beverages emanating from her.”
Kat admitted to drinking alcohol that day, but stated she had slugged the booze “way earlier in the evening” before the crash. The police report states that Kathryn’s car allegedly rear-ended the car in front of her stopped at a light, causing that car to hit the car in front of it. One of the drivers of the other cars told police that his head hit the steering wheel after his car was rear-ended.
Once cops determined they had enough evidence to charge Kathryn, they poured her into a police car to head to the station… but it was not a quiet ride to jail for Kathryn.
In the video, the mother of two told the officers that, “Y’all are ruining my life. And my kids’ [lives].”
Kathryn, who was handcuffed in the backseat of the car, scolded the officers for not doing more tests to prove if she was drunk.
“Thanks for nothing. You didn’t even do a field sobriety test to know if you’re legit or not,” she said, adding, “You didn’t do a blood alcohol test. Maybe I don’t have the best balance in the whole wide world but you sure didn’t confirm what you were doing.”
When the officer told Kathryn that he will be asking her to do a blood alcohol test as soon as they get to the station, she then ranted about her felon ex (whom we can assume is her baby daddy Thomas Ravenel, although she doesn’t specifically name him.)
“I already know what comes next,” Kathryn said when she was told she would be asked to submit to the blood alcohol test. “I already know. I’m not stupid, I already know what’s happening. It’s stupid as s**t. Like, my ex is a felon, I know how this works.”
“It’s really messed up for you guys to just take people in, though, when they have kids because it could really affect their children’s lives,” Kathryn said. “Not my life, I don’t give a f**k about me, just my kids.”
Kathryn told the officers that she didn’t deserve to be under arrest. When they arrived at the police station, an officer unbuckled Kathryn’s seatbelt (since her hands were cuffed at the time), and the former ‘Southern Charm’ star accused the officer of being “gross” and “disgusting” for getting so close to her.
“You’re treating me like an animal!” she told him. “Get out of my face! Why are you so close to me?! You’re gross! You’re disgusting! Don’t touch me like that!”

Kathryn has been relatively quiet on social media over the last few months. She did hint on X last month, though, that she has big things coming.
“Thought I faded? Shadows don’t vanish—they sharpen,” she wrote on September 23. “Something’s brewing, and it’s not your coffee. Stay tuned.”
Interestingly, Kat’s usually outspoken baby daddy Thomas has not commented on Kathryn being booked into jail.

in fact, i had completely forgotten about THIS incident, and (before reading the post) thought the headline was referring to the school hit-and-run.
it’s hard to believe (and really a shame) that she got away with that one…
What a mess. Get it together for your kids if you claim to care about them so much. Jail will humble her disgustingly big ego for 30 days, then she’ll be right back to being her normal insufferable self. Contrary to what you think Kat, your shit DOES stink.
Those poor kids. Kathryn has been like this the majority of their lives and apparently isn’t getting better.
Thomas is a womanizing rapist who has his own history with drugs.
Who exactly is looking out for these children and their best interests? Does Thomas have another nanny? Because he raped two nanny’s in the past.
