Brittany Cartwright is hoping her friends Lala Kent and Scheana Shay will shut their mouths— and save their friendship.
The Valley star was recently asked for her thoughts on the feud currently happening between Lala and Scheana, and Brittany did not hold back, offering her thoughts on whether or not her former Vanderpump Rules co-stars could possibly make up, despite both Lala and Scheana talking extensively about each other (and their feud) on their respective podcasts and social media accounts.
“I’m really sad about [their feud], too. I hope that they can, like, talk to each other in person,” Brittany recently told Evan Real of Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea. “I think talking about it publicly instead of talking to each other is hurting them worse.”
“So, I hope at some point they can, you know, talk to each other because they have been such good friends for such a long time,” Brittany added. “I know there’s real love there.”
Brittany made it clear that she is still friends with both Lala and Scheana, but thinks their decisions to bad-mouth each other on their podcasts is making the feud worse.
“I think they’re both great people,” Brittany said. “Lala has been an amazing friend to me, not that Scheana hasn’t but I see Lala all the time and she’s thriving. She’s doing incredible and I just hope that they can talk as real friends. My biggest issue is don’t go on podcasts and social media and things like that and deal with it there. If you’re a real friend you talk about it with each other.”
As The Ashley previously reported, Lala and Scheana’s once-strong friendship has soured over the last few months. Lala and Scheana have each provided various reasons for their feud, with Scheana calling out Lala on an August episode of her Scheananigans podcast for not promoting her memoir My Good Side until a week after the book hit shelves. When she was asked later about her rumored feud with Scheana, Lala stated on Amazon Live that she was letting “Scheana Scheana”– a remark that Scheana later admitted she “really didn’t like.”
Scheana added fuel to the fire in September while attending Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea Awards, where she accused Lala of making “subtle digs” and not “taking accountability” for the reason “Scheana is Scheana-ing at the moment.” After taking the stage at the awards show, Scheana continued discussing the feud between her and Lala, while admitting that they both have a habit of talking about their issues publicly, but never addressing them one-on-one.
Earlier this month, Scheana revealed that their friendship fallout wasn’t just over her book drama.
“After extending grace last week, I do feel the need to address it because Lala knows why our friendship is in the state that it’s in,” Scheana said on her podcast. “This is not just about not posting my book for a week. It is about so much more than that.”
She went on to state that she was upset with Lala because Lala allegedly blabbed about something she told her in confidence. Scheana stated that she had confided in Lala about her husband Brock Davies having an affair. (Scheana later revealed the affair in her book.) Scheana claimed that Lala went on to tell Brittany, as well as Jenna Willis, a friend that Scheana was not on good terms with. Scheana claimed that Lala’s latest loose lips incident was the nail in the coffin of their friendship.
“This isn’t even the first incident. There had been two things prior to that — where we were already rocky — and this just tipped me over,” she claimed.
During her recent interview with Page Six, Brittany confirmed that Lala’s daughter Ocean is still very close friends with Scheana’s daughter Summer, something Lala recently spoke about on social media.

“They do see each other because their kids are still in school together,” Brittany said. “So they do see each other.”
Brittany stated that she is hopeful that her friends can work things out eventually.
“I feel like it’s something that they can talk about within themselves and hopefully maybe someday be OK,” she said. “But I think a lot of hurt has been said publicly so we’ll see.”
