The Seeking Sister Wife Season 6 midseason trailer was released on Monday, giving fans a first look at the plural-marriage drama still to come on the TLC series.
In Us Weekly’s midseason teaser, viewers watch as spouses Reise and Billie Jean Williamson sit down with a potential sister wife to break down the polygamy dating dynamics.
“Obviously she’s first wife,” Reise tells the woman, while gesturing to his wife, Billie Jean. When Reise goes on to ask the woman if she would be OK with this arrangement, the woman expresses some hesitation.
“You know, I am not sure,” she admits. “Two dominant women in a relationship with one man could cause problems.”
While Reise and Billie Jean try to find a spouse who is down with their polygamist pecking order, Nick Davis– along with wives April and Jenny– work to reassure girlfriend Teresa that she has no reason to feel insecure among her fellow sister wives. (As fans know, Teresa joined the throuple this season after being a platonic friend of Nick’s for years.)
“I do feel like I’m worthless,” Teresa admits in the trailer. “And I hope that I can get to a point where I’m as confident as the other girls are.”
The midseason trailer also shows ‘Seeking Sister Wife’ newcomers Matt and Anjelica Johnson entertaining the idea of adding another woman to their marriage– news that leaves Matt’s current girlfriend Shanay feeling uneasy about her own relationship with the pair.
“I feel hurt and betrayal,” Shanay says before storming off after Matt reveals to her that he’s been dating other women.
The midseason trailer also shows Dani Peralta dealing with intense emotions relating to her relationship, after her prospective sister wife Jackie reveals that she’s “getting closer” to Dani’s husband, Yessel Peralta. (As fans of ‘Seeking Sister Wife’ know, Yessel has two children from previous relationships; however, Dani has expressed that she isn’t on board with the idea of her husband fathering any additional children in the future.)
“The last time we talked about kids, you definitely wanted more,” an emotional Dani says to Jackie in the trailer. “I don’t think I’m able to handle [Yessel] having another baby with another woman.”
While viewers previously watched Dani explain to Yessel that she didn’t mind having a sister wife who already had children of her own, she also noted at the time that if the sister wife didn’t already have children, she didn’t want them to have any with Yessel. After Yessel accuses Dani in the midseason trailer of having plans to “sabotage” the relationship with Jackie, Dani announces that she’s “done doing this.”
The clip later shows Lorrana– the woman being courted by Garrick and Dannielle Merrifield– crying hysterically on the floor of the bathroom, where she’s eventually comforted by Dannielle.
