Jenelle Evans’ teenage son Jace took to social media recently to let fans know that he’s doing well, more than two months after his mom sent him (back) to North Carolina to live with his grandmother Barbara Evans.
As The Ashley previously reported, Jace is currently on probation (and had it transferred from Nevada to North Carolina after his move), and has to do regular drug tests and check-ins with his probation officer. The ‘Teen Mom’ kid was happy to report that things are going well for him.
“Monthly [checkup],” the 16-year-old posted to his Instagram Story over the weekend, along with a selfie. “[I’m] doin good y’all.”
As The Ashley previously told you, the former Teen Mom 2 star sent the eldest of her three children to North Carolina in August, immediately after Jace publicly leaked text messages between the two showing her in a very unflattering light. In the texts, Jace alleged that his mom was “unstable,” to which Jenelle fired off a “F**K YOU” (among other things) at her first born. (Jenelle went on to blame Jace’s “different medical diagnosis” for why her son exposed her publicly.)
Jace has spoken out about his mom a couple times since relocating from Las Vegas to North Carolina, including in September, when he claimed that Jenelle had blocked him on social media. (While Jace is currently following his mom on Instagram, Jenelle does not appear to be following him back at the moment.)
Last month, Jace posted a photo and quote to his Instagram, which some fans interpreted to be a reference to the teen’s ongoing situation.
“As the night gets dark, let your worries fade,” he wrote. “Sleep peacefully knowing you’ve done all you can do for today.”
Jace’s post went on to receive quite a few supportive comments from ‘Teen Mom 2’ fans, many of whom encouraged the teen to “stay strong.”
Earlier this month, Jenelle surprisingly had some positive things to share with fans about her son during an Instagram Q&A, despite (literally) laughing during a Twitch livestream the previous month over the fact that Jace was “going through it” with Barbara in North Carolina.
When asked how Jace was doing earlier this month, however, Jenelle claimed that her son was “actually doing very well,” even adding that she’s “proud of him.”
(Jenelle spoke about her son on social media shortly after returning from a trip to North Carolina, where she visited her ailing mother and saw Jace as well.)
As The Ashley previously told you, Jace has been thriving since moving back to North Carolina.
“He has a job, is keeping up with his probation and doing his online school,” The Ashley’s source claimed.

I think Jace is going to be the first teenage dad of the new generation.
We al knew he’d thrive with Barb. Jenelle is “proud of him” because it’s one less kid to bother her.
I’m wondering if she has sent Kaiser away too. I saw a video she posted where she made some crockpot dish & she only showed Ensley. I know he maybe just didn’t want to be filmed or maybe wasn’t home, but we all know Jenelle doesn’t really like her kids.
She sent him away last year to Nathan’s mom Doris. She didn’t even tell him he was going to live there. He didn’t even bring enough clothes. Doris took him shopping and enrolled him in school. Then the world found out and she flew in & took him from school back to Vegas. She is a piece of 💩
Jenelle may have carried Jace but she was never his mom. It makes perfect sense that going home to the mother he knows, would be the answer. Maybe seeing who Jenelle really is has helped him to appreciate Barb more. Jenelle always has Jace very manipulated and she was very damaging to his mental and emotional health. Now maybe he can see she was always the real problem.
All Jace needed was to see his mother in her true colors. And he did she tried to buy his happiness and it didn’t work. His grandmom is the only person who gave him a mother’s love. He needed to see that. So happy he is doing great. His baby carrier is a loser! Jenelle need to be brought down!

They can’t even depend on their dad’s. Thank God she got spayed.
“No thanks to you, Juhnelle,” is the most accurate description I can think of regarding Jace’s well-being. He does not need her poisonous “parenting” and never did. He will be better off with limited to zero contact for the rest of his life, honestly.
The world (minus his own mother and UBT) is pulling for this kid. I hope he gets the peaceful life that he deserves.
Jenelle is nothing more than an egg donor. Barbara is far from perfect but she’s clearly the best shot Jace has.
I didn’t realize how much he looks like Jenelle. Im glad he’s back with Barbara. She’s the only consistent adult he’s ever had in his life. Im wIting for his, and Maryssa’s tell all books to cone out(seriously, they could make a bunch of money ifthey writethem

He may actually have a shot at a decent life, away from… that woman.
But still has alot of trauma from her that needs to be addressed before he reaches adulthood…
