Anna Johnston is not happy about seeing some of the things her estranged parents and siblings said about her during the last few episodes of 7 Little Johnstons and, over the weekend, she did not hold back while giving her thoughts on the situation.
During a TikTok Live on Saturday, Anna— who is currently estranged from her mom Amber, father Trent and her siblings— blasted her family and stated that she’s the reason the show is still on the air, as the drama surrounding the estrangement gives her family something to talk about on-camera.
“Y’all wouldn’t have a show if it wasn’t for me!” Anna said. “Y’all still talk about me when I’m not even in the scene. Y’all stay talking about me! Y’all have to make dumb scenes to draw attention!”
Later on the Live, Anna told fans that she was particularly upset about a comment her father made about her job.
“At least I have a job!” she replied. “At least I am waking up and working every day, Monday through Friday! And running a business and having a social life. They don’t! A lot of them have not had jobs. A lot of them have lied.”
Anna stated that her sister Elizabeth is one of the family members who allegedly lies about having a job as a registered nurse. She also pointed to her father and brother as people in the family who are currently unemployed outside of filming for the show.
“Dad, does he work? No. Last thing I checked, my older brother [Jonah] doesn’t work,” she said.
“I was going to college and working full-time and running the business and filming full-time!” Anna said, adding that when she was going to college, she had to travel back home every weekend in order to film for the show.
“So, [his] smart comment [about my] job? I saw a clip about that and that made me mad,” she said.
Anna also referenced a recent scene when her father came to her house and told her she wouldn’t have what she has if it weren’t for them. Anna insisted that her parents did not help her with the down payment for her house, despite what her parents are claiming.
“I put the down payment on my house,” Anna said. “They helped me with the PMI [private mortgage insurance] so I didn’t have to pay that monthly… they’re the ones that were like, ‘We want to help you so you don’t have to pay the PMI.'”
Anna told fans that she had not been aware of what her family had been saying about her until she watched clips of some of the recent episodes.
“It hurts because I did not know what was said,” Anna stated. “[The scene with] the gathering of all six of them? That’s hurtful, you know? But I don’t have my opinion or my voice on the show. They edit what’s going to bring them drama, because— let me tell you something— if they really wanted my opinion, they would edit that out because then that stops the drama!”
Anna thanked fans for their support and reminded everyone that this will be her last season appearing on “7 Little Johnstons.”
“I think it is sad that the last season [I’ll be part of] is ending like this because I did not want it,” she said. “I want y’all to see the good side and not just people bashing me and everything like that. Bashing me for dumb stuff that they’re apparently getting onto me about, you know? So that’s hard.”
Anna said her decision to quit filming for the show came because it was taking a toll on her mental health.
“It was hard to say no to another season but it just got to be mentally that I just had to, you know, stop [filming],” she said.
Back in May, Anna revealed during a TikTok Live that she would never film for the show again.
“No matter what, I won’t be continuing the show. Nope,” she said at the time.
When someone in the chat wrote that the show might as well be cancelled, Liz responded, “Dude, that’s what I’m saying!”

I have watched this show for years.Anna has always been the black sheep. Need someone to pick on?It’s Anna! Amber and Trent are the abusers! Years ago, Alex was a really difficult and spoiled brat, and they catered to his every whim! Liz is the golden child! I will not continue to watch these abusers.

Agree!!!!!!!!! Its sad!! Amber knows how horrible situation Anna was in when they adopted her but she cant show her unconditional love & shower her w love & time spent shopping etc. She has done that w Liz & especially Emma.
I do not blame Anna for wanting her own graduation regardless of her mother graduating! Are they blind?! Shes a young girl graduating and without a doubt her siblings will feel the same way if was happening to them but Amber treats them better anyway. Amber’s graduating does not take precedent over her daughter! She obviously made the whole graduation about her! Again Anna’s feelings don’t matter. Amber instigated all the negative hateful talk about Anna to her other kids and Trent. She is trying to control everything in Anna’s life & Anna’s is capable of taking care of herself! Whatever mistakes she makes in life, hello Amber! Thats life! Anna’s everyone knows how you literally are emotionally & verbally beat up by your mom Amber & dad. Its wrong. No matter what you should feel uncondionally loved. Look at Liz not telling them she was pregnant. She was scared & when she did omgosh! Amber was so pissed because she didn’t know so she could control the whole situation. When I saw how they berated her it was shocking! Then the way amber has talked about Leighton being average size makes me so angry! I think Liz feels pressured to have another baby hoping it will be a LP all for Amber! I dont think Liz feels that way about her precious baby. SHAME ON AMBER! You need to go deal w your codependency!!!
Proud of her for stepping away. Her mother sounds like an emotionally abusive parasite, makes herself happy and feel powerful by stealing joy from her own daughter.

The parents are angry because the don’t have control over Anna, the rest of the kids have to follow the parents. These kids need to get out of that house and make their own decisions. Trent and his troll wife screwed those kids life with this show for the greed of money. I feel for Anna ,I hope she stays strong ,live her life.

I suffer a lot with mental health and my manipulating mother just made it worse, so kicked her out my life and since then not only as my mental health improve my personal life did to.
With mental health if you have someone bringing you down you have to let them go
You can’t change a person but you can change and improve yourself and your life.
I just started watching this show, but I don’t think Anna is all that innocent. She said her parents didn’t help with a down payment on her house, they just paid the PMI. The PMI is 20% of your mortgage, that’s a pretty nice down payment!
It is a good gesture for sure. But – depending on the equity gained with Anna’s downpayment – it would reduce the remaining equity buy in to satisfy the total 20%. Ive had those tough moments in my relationship with my children. Sometimes you make your points in “teaching” them strong values – you “bump heads” but show strength by leading the family back into the normal life. Move on and forgive – love and remember what my obligations are as a father. If it repeats – well maybe we need a tough love approach. I think they are going to regret alienating Anna in personal life and their beloved show.
But it shouldn’t be held over her head in arguments years later, that’s narcissistic abuse by her father.. bringing up anything done for a person years later in order to gain control over that person or make them feel guilty is manipulative and emotionally abusive. She would be wise to take over her own PMI pymt, and send a cease & decist to her family legally requiring them to not speak of her on the show. She needs space to grow & learn about life, and not be fully controlled by exceedingly controlling parents.
She did work on the show so technically it was her money she earned from the show
Anyone else notice these TLC shows suck every bit of life blood from these families till they are in pieces then walk away from the sh*tpile dumpster fire they created! Its so messed up for a channel that’s called TLC!

I always felt that Anna was the least liked, you could see it in the way they treated her, if we’re seeing these issues on telly you can only imagine what goes on behind closed doors, I feel that Anna really tries hard for her family to like her but the more she tries the less they care and I’m not shocked about that as that’s why I stopped watching about 3 years ago as I couldn’t bare to see how sad Anna was.
Speaking from personal experience, all you can do in that situation is cut your losses and walk away. The sooner the better!
Good for her for telling TLC et al she’s more than a story line. I hope she finds some peace in her life. And, graduating from nursing school doesn’t make Liz a nurse, the state of Georgia has no record of her being a licensed LPN or RN.

I never really believed she was a nurse. Was very young when was 1st claiming to be one and I said to myself she’s not even old enough to have completed the schooling and training to be a RN or LPM. It seems there’s a lot of lies and fake things when it comes to the family & this show. I personally can’t stand any of them any more except for Anna. You’d think they’d have more compassion for Anna after adopting her from the terrible conditions she was living under. It’s sad how Amber has always treated her with distance. I don’t understand it. It also annoys me how they push their kids into relationships. The whole Alex & Allie thing was so comical to me. Biggest cry baby codependent child pushed into having a girlfriend. His immaturity really showed with how he was 1st handling the relationship. Everytime he said my girlfriend I laughed so hard. I wish Anna peace & happiness
