Tammy and Amy Slaton are back for a new season of 1000-Lb. Sisters, premiering next month on TLC.
In the upcoming season, viewers will follow along as Tammy continues to embrace her new reality after losing 500 pounds and undergoing skin removal surgery. In the newly released trailer, Tammy proudly reveals that everything about her is “smaller”– including her underwear, which she claims is now much easier for her to fold.
With all that extra time on her hands, Tammy– who teases a possible proposal from her girlfriend in the trailer– decides to embark on her very first job interview.

“[I’m] just kind of starting to figure out what I want to do in life,” she says, before fans see the TLC star try her hand at some sort of animal wrangling.
Also planning for her future in the upcoming season is Amy, who claims she’s trying to learn from her mistakes and “becoming an adult for once.”

In Season 8, Amy is also preparing to walk down the aisle with her fiancé, Brian Lovvorn. In the new trailer, Amy (who tied the knot with Brian in November) confirms that she and Brian are still planning to make their big day as spooky as possible– much to the dismay of her family.
“The wedding is in, like, six months,” Amy says. “It’s really important for the venue to be haunted because that’s a symbol of our love. My family, they don’t want nothing to do with it. And neither does queen Tammy.”

While Amy isn’t letting the opinion of her family prevent her from planning the wedding of her dreams, it’s revealed that the Slaton sister feud is still going strong, two months after the dynamic duo’s “big blowup.”
Tammy claims that she and Amy can get along “if Amy keeps her mouth shut,” before admitting that it feels as though she and her sister are “drifting apart.”
“She used to be my best friend,” Tammy adds.
Later in the trailer, we find out just how much the sisters are, in fact, drifting apart, when Amy chooses not to make Tammy her maid of honor.
“I can’t handle her toxic a** anymore,” an emotional Amy says about Tammy. “I’m done, I’m goin’ home.”

Despite Amy and Tammy’s brother, Chris Combs, doing his best to reunite his sisters before Amy’s big day, Amy isn’t exactly swayed by his sibling pep talk.
“We really need to kind of get it smoothed over, families are supposed to pull together,” Chris says, to which Amy responds, “I’m not going to sit here and have you feed me this baloney when I don’t like baloney.”
Season 8 of “1000-lb. Sisters” premieres Tuesday, January 6 on TLC. Watch the trailer below.
